The more wraps, the stronger the pulse. The manufacturer recommends a minimum number of wraps for a proper pulse. Clipping the sensor wire on with an alligator clip would probably not create enough of a pulse. |

There are currently three Hardline hour meters on Amazon (at the time I wrote this), some models have a tachometer. They are: * HR-8061-2 (the one on this page) - Has an hour meter and tachometer. It is for two or four cycle engines with one or two cylinders. The hour meter on this model cannot be reset. * HR-8067-2 - Has an hour meter and tachometer. It is for two or four cycle engines with one or two cylinders. This model displays service intervals and alerts for oil, air filter, etc. Those hour intervals can be reset. * HR-8063-2 - Hour meter ONLY.
