| Answer: | Hi, That's an excellent question, and I don't know the answer. But let me answer it anecdotally because what's behind your question is the question, "Are these effective?" And the answer there is yes they are. I can tell you that most serious riders use Bontrager Flare RT lights on the rear because they have a reputation of being visible during daytime riding, and have a particular flash pattern that catches the attention of drivers. I have and use this light always. The Bontrager rear light lists 90 lumens as it's output. That may seem small, but there is much more to safety than lumens. There is flash pattern and focus. The Volcano lights seem a little brighter than the Bontrager. They are very light weight, and their ability to flash red and blue is why I bought them. When people see the flashing red and blue they tend to stay away. It's an instinct for most drivers. In their minds they register "Cop" when they see a red and blue flash. So I use these in addition to the Bontrager Flare RT. I have one mounted on my seat post near the Bontrager Flare Rt (where it has an automatic angle adjustment to compensate for the angle of most seat posts), and I mounted one on the rear of my helmet. I love them. They are bright, lightweight, and inexpensive. They really help for daytime safety. At night they are blinding. The only complaint I have is that the little rubber covers on the USB charging ports could be made more durably. They do the job, but you have to handle them delicately when charging or putting them back in their post charging position. For the money, these are one of the best cycling purchases I've ever made! I absolutely love them, and if they ever break, I'll be buying them again. |

| Answer: | The way the lights mount, you can adjust the angle up and down i.e. you can point the light down at the ground right in front of your tire or angle it up to light the path in front of you. They do not pivot side to side. They do come with different thickness' of padding inside the mount ring which is great as my husband and I have different style MOTOBOCANE bikes and his handlebars are much thicker then mine. We just used the thin padding to mount the light to his bike and the thicker padding to mount the light to my bike. That being said, if you want to be able to pivot the light side to side, you may be able to mount the light to the neck of your handlebars instead of the actual cross bar. I hope this helps. Just as a side note: the back lights are really bright and I was very pleased with the how easy they both were to mount. |

If it is, contact the seller and request their help. They may sell or send you an extension piece to your flashlight and that will enable the use of the USB rechargeable battery. | Answer: | The light disperses both narrow and wide. and has a good sight distance. Make sure you keep extra batteries on you for safety. :D |
