I have the 4 bike version (needed for special occasions) but am currently day to day using a 2 bike configuration without the back part, works perfectly, and is slightly more comfortable, easier to park, probably save a tiny bit of fuel. 2 bolts, plus move the little reflector.

Question:	Will a standard water bottle lid fit on this bottle
Answer:	It depends on how safe an area you are parked in. I removed the bike rack when I arrived at my destination because I was in a high crime area for bicycles and related equipment. I wouldn't leave the bike rack on when you are not planning on transporting bikes. It's easy to remove and also impedes access to the trunk so I wouldn't leave it on if you are not actively using it.
Question:	What’s the diameter
Answer:	I am not sure...you would have to find out from the manufacturer/instructions (which I don't have handy). However, I can say that this is a very very sturdy rack. It also weighs about 80 lbs. I need help to put it on the hitch. So make sure your hitch can handle it.

Answer:	My bikes are each over 6 ft. long (74") and the rack holds them securely.

Answer:	I fit 1 adult (26") bike, 2 kids (20") bikes and 1 child's (16") bike on this rack. As you might guess, when bikes are situated side-by-side closely, pedals can sometimes get caught in the spokes of adjacent tires and handlebars compete for space. Put the big bikes on first, then the next size down, then the smallest. Alternate the bikes so the second is pointing in the opposite direction as the first and so on. This keeps the handlebars from locking against each other. Oh, another thing: if the bikes are really small it might be easier to mount them upside down. If you do this, make sure the seat is firmly clamped to the seat post. Some things to know in advance: four bikes weigh more than you might guess. Expect lower mph on long trips. Also understand that more weight means more pressure and possibly friction where the bike rack touches the paint on your trunk and back bumper. I mounted this rack on my brand new car and noticed a little rubbing wear on the paint. Nothing major, but enough to realize, yes, four bikes kind of maxes out what you should be transporting on the back of your car. It's a well-manufactured, sturdy rack.

HOW MUCH TO DRINK AND HOW OFTEN?

As a guide, you need around 21oz / 600 ml fluid per hour on a ride. Of course, that could increase if you’re riding somewhere hot, or if you’re working hard trying to take some Strava segments!

However, just because it’s cold it doesn’t mean you should drink less – you’ll still be sweating and you’ll be losing body moisture as your breath evaporates.

A key tip is that drinking ‘little and often’ is far more effective than downing a whole bottle in one go and then not drinking again for an hour. This is because as soon as you become dehydrated, it’s very difficult to reverse the situation quickly, and your performance will plummet.

We find the most effective method is to take a few sips every 15 minutes. It’s easy to forget to drink frequently, until you get into the habit – we find a good reminder is to set a repeat alarm on any bike computer or sports watch you may be using.

Question:	We have the 24oz bottle but it is too tall for the purpose we are using it. Does anyone know how tall the 20oz bottle is
Answer:	There is no cover over the mouth piece. This is a standard type of cycling water bottle. They are designed to be quick and easy to drink from while cycling. You pull the mouthpiece up with your front teeth to drink, and them use your teeth or chin, or whatever to push the valve closed again so water does not escape, or dirt find its way in. Answer:	Just tested this, they will not break when freezing. I left a 1” gap at the top to allow for expansion and froze it in an upright position. Freezing at 100% full would probably be a bad idea for any container. I also tried it in a preposterous and risky upside down position, and, while there appeared to be the tiniest frozen droplet that pushed out of the drinking nozzle, there was no breaking or stress. So, I’d say these are a safe choice for freezing in any position. They are rather soft and forgiving plastic, not that hard stuff from the 90s, so I was willing to test it out; no surprise to me that they did good. I hope this helps!

Answer:	My top screw is closer to the bottom screw, however the bottom screw is not. When you measure they'r about the same distance apart, it's all about how close or far apart they are. If they'r not the same just install the bottom first but if they are the same it's backwards. However, it depends, if you install the left-hand screw first on top, it want work but if you install the right-hand screw on top or bottom, it makes no difference...I use a surveyor's transit and compass to mount my bottle cage...works every time!

Answer:	I have a 24 oz insulated polar bottle and it fits great I don't know for sure about a 32 oz if it's not wider than 3 inches I do not see a problem. I really do like these though, my 24 oz bottle is 10 and 1/2 inches high with 1 and 1/2 inches to spare

Answer:	Yes, you can. It is not necessary to touch de mouthpiece on this bottle (besides, it's unmovable). You just have to open the flip cap and drink by making the desired press. Furthermore, the open/close function on this bottle is done by the self-sealing valve in the cap. That means, you can open de flip cap and put the bottle upside down and there will be no split or fall.

Answer:	It will be fine. Most of what I put in my 40 oz. bottle is Seltzer water, a soda with a pH of somewhere around 2-3.5, which is close to lemon juice, and lower than what lemon flavored water would probably be (I'm not an expert on chemistry, but know a little about pH levels). The person who said it wouldn't work either has had a bad experience due to a bad product, was misinformed, or doesn't know what they're talking about. Incidentally, coffee, while not as acidic, is still on the acid side of the pH scale and is never questioned. Lemon flavoring added to water is probably closer in pH to coffee than it is to soda. You're good to go!
Question:	How long does it keep drinks hot
Answer:	Yes. Remember not to overfill the canteen before trying to freeze it, since the water inside is still subject to the laws of molecular physics and will expand. This could dent the metal interior or lid if you're not careful. In my experience, the 32oz takes longer than overnight (8-10hrs) to freeze due to the insulation, so give yourself enough time if you want solid ice.
