Answer:	I believe seat bags are those that are mounted under or behind the bike seat and used to carry small emergency items, while tail bags are mounted behind the rider and used to stow bigger stuff liked the rider's helmet or other riding conveniences. Answer:	You should be able to install it if you're innovative and creative mechanically. To be honest this is a nice pack but has a mediocre installation design which is flawed and inadequate. With a little creativity you can modify it like I did and make it work but a direct application right out of the package might fail!

Question:	Am I the only person who received a canvas version instead of leather
Answer:	Bags supplied have adjustable velcro throw-over supported ruksacks. I needed to add some simple 5/8" alum. stock pieces, attached to rear frame under seat vertically to muffler area -- to keep bags away from rear wheel. I also bent two lightweight square drying racks to an L-shape for added stability each side. These bags are large and floppy. You'd need to configure some framing for any bike.

Answer:	Hey Kevin, I looked at some pics of your motorcycle on google pics and I would say yes it will fit from the looks of it. More than likely it will back right up against your lower back area to fit correctly, but that is where I have mine placed on my motorcycle and it is nice because it actually gives you a tiny bit of lower back support to bump back against while riding.I have both this bag as well as the Nelson Rigg 1060ST which is the Tall version of the same bag, but it is a little over an inch longer than the 1060s, I love both bags, really well built and sturdy, the small one fits my bike better because of the length of the bag but I sure do love the Tall version because it expands to the 33Liter size which is just awesome for shopping and such.I think this bag will fit your Ducati just fine though as long as you dont mind it backing up to and touching your lower back while you ride.Best of luck!!Cory
