My boots are Lowa. |

I have used these on 45 leather boots but for a plastic 45 1/2 I got a larger size interchangable adjustment fitting which I switch out on the crampton when I use my plastic boots. |

| Answer: | We recently did an 8 mile round trip hike with an elevation gain of about 2000'. On the way back down I noticed that the chains had shifted a little but were still pretty much in place. This wasn't a super steep descent so it may not be the best test but it literally takes a few seconds to re-adjust these things. Walking uphill and downhill on ice is very easy and you don't even notice that you have them on. I hope that helps. |
