Answer:	That doesn’t sound right. Have you tried untighteni g and then re-tightening them? If that doesn’t work then try to return them. Both my husband and I have Been using these poles over a year. Heavy use with no problems.

Answer:	No anti-shock feature, but I didn't want one. These poles have same overall weight as a set that costs $189. The $39 set has quick lock system that I prefer instead of the twist lock system on $29.99 set. These are cheap enough that I don't worry about babying or breaking them.
Question:	What is the difference between the neoprene and cork handles? Not sure which to choose, they are the same price
Answer:	Cork handles resists moisture from sweaty hands, decreases vibration and best conforms to the shape of your hands. Neoprene absorbs moisture from sweaty hands and is the softest to the touch.
Question:	These look exactly like the ones sold at costco for much less? also no anti-shock? Is that needed
Answer:	You may be able to find them at Costco for less, but right now they are not listed on Costco's web site and have not been in stores for quite some time. If you can find a store that has them in stock, buy them. I want to say they were $30 the last time I saw them in a store. You can get them for $38 on Amazon with no shipping (Prime), so I don't know if it's worth it to drive all over town looking for them in stores. I just ordered a new set through Amazon. They are great poles and still a great deal even at $40.

Before using your poles, make sure that your locks are firmly secured. While the tip is on the ground, test to ensure the lock is secure by pushing on the top of the handle so the tip presses into the ground. If your pole shortens while doing this then you need to readjust the height and tighten the lock more.

Step 1. Open Tab and Adjust

Fully open the quick lock tab and adjust to desired height.

Step 2. Tighten Thumbscrew

Tighten Thumbscrew by turning it 1/4" to 1/2" turns clockwise.

Step 3. Close Quick Lock Tab

Quick Lock Tab should be difficult to close when properly tightened.

Step 4. Test and Readjust

Apply weight to the pole. If pole begins to collapse, repeat steps 1-3 until it remains at desired height.

Answer:	The 3K uses a weave fabric for the build. The non 3K uses a unidirectional fabric. The unidirectional fabric has more strength in the vertical direction but not much side to side, where the 3K has more strength and flexibility side to side, but not as much vertically.

Question:	What is the primary difference between standard carbon fiber and 3k carbon fiber? Is it simply a strength related difference
Answer:	Yes, it's a strength related difference and more. 3K means there are 3,000 strands of carbon fibers in the tow (the thread of CF that is then woven into a fabric). They are extremely thin, huh?! 6K or 12K might seem better, it is easier to manufacture using a broader tow but it is a heavier weave. This is like comparing silk vs cotton cloth. One is soft and flexible, but the other might be stronger, more durable or stretches better. The trade-offs for trekking poles are flexibility, shock absorption, strength and weight. Many trekking pole manufacturers are moving towards 3K as the right balance. That said, I'm not an expert but learning about it.

Answer:	That doesn’t sound right. Have you tried untighteni g and then re-tightening them? If that doesn’t work then try to return them. Both my husband and I have Been using these poles over a year. Heavy use with no problems.
Question:	Am 5 ft tall can I use it
Answer:	No anti-shock feature, but I didn't want one. These poles have same overall weight as a set that costs $189. The $39 set has quick lock system that I prefer instead of the twist lock system on $29.99 set. These are cheap enough that I don't worry about babying or breaking them.

Answer:	Cork handles resists moisture from sweaty hands, decreases vibration and best conforms to the shape of your hands. Neoprene absorbs moisture from sweaty hands and is the softest to the touch.
Question:	The poles I received today have no push button so they will not lock. Can I return them for a pair that works
Answer:	You may be able to find them at Costco for less, but right now they are not listed on Costco's web site and have not been in stores for quite some time. If you can find a store that has them in stock, buy them. I want to say they were $30 the last time I saw them in a store. You can get them for $38 on Amazon with no shipping (Prime), so I don't know if it's worth it to drive all over town looking for them in stores. I just ordered a new set through Amazon. They are great poles and still a great deal even at $40.

Answer:	Hi Jennifer, trekking poles can indeed be used by kids! We do have customers who have purchased our poles for their kids and who've found that the poles truly help their kids especially on uphill or uneven terrain. Now, for choosing the right trekking pole for them, there are several factors you need to consider. First is the height - you can measure the length between your child's elbow to the ground and if they are at least 24.5 inches, then our poles should be suitable for their height. Other factors to consider are weight and the size of the grip - and these two really depend on your kids' strength and hand size. There are poles that are specifically made for kids with a lighter weight and smaller grip and these might be more suitable especially for your 5-year old. The disadvantage of it is that kids can outgrow those poles quite quickly due to limited length adjustability (they are shorter, which makes them lighter). Our poles should not be a problem for your 7 and 10 year old, but might be a bit on the heavy side for your 5-year old (each pole is 9.7 ounces which is roughly the weight of 5 tennis balls), but on the plus side, it will also grow with your child and will last him a long time. Question:	How long are the poles at their shortest? Will they fit in my suitcase
Answer:	It's 24.5 inches short when collapsed. However if that still won't fit your suitcase, you can disassemble it and the length will go down to 21 inches. It'll be very easy to put it back together if you disassemble it.
Question:	Can I hike with them through rivers? Can these get wet
Answer:	Yes, in fact it would be good to have these if you're going through rivers - they'll save you from accidental slips especially if the rocks are a bit slippery, and you can also use them to gauge and test the ground (or riverbed) that you're about to step on. We'd recommend giving the poles a thorough drying afterwards though by taking them apart and patting dry or air drying. As with all things metal, rust is an enemy and drying the poles will help prevent that.
Question:	Do the new Trailbuddy screw-on rubber tips screw on to these poles? The pictures don't show a lower set of threads on the tips
Answer:	Makers of Trailbuddy told me yesterday that they had worked on a new set of threads that attach the rubber tips so that they cannot come off. They promised to send me a new lower pole with new tips. I do not know when this will come/ and be offered online. It sounds as if it will be soon...in the next few weeks.

Question:	My ideal size is 115 cm. I'm a 5 ' 6.5" female. should i go for the 100cm or 120 cm? It seems I'm right in the middle for sizing
Answer:	Thanks for the question! I think either option would work well for you. If you go with the 100 cm version, it can extend up to 120 cm, so it will provide you some additional length if you want to extend it on downhills for extra support. You can also keep the 115 cm length and grip the top of the handle. That is typically what I do since it is faster than continuously adjusting the length.On the flip side, if you go with the 120 cm version, it is 115 cm at the lowest setting. Therefore, you would not be able to shorten the pole any further. On uphills, it is sometimes helpful to shorten the pole to get better leverage. However, you can also shift your grip to the EVA foam portion below the handle and use that instead.It really comes down to your preference on the methods that I mentioned above. If you think that you'll just keep the length to 115 cm at all times and adjust your grip for uphills/downhills, then I would go with the 100 cm version.
