Answer:	Yes it is. There is tape applied. I ALSO put a coating of seam sealer on top of that, AND on the seam on top (which I believe answers the second part of your question). It is a habit I have of seam sealing all sown areas of my tarps. It just bothers me to know that virtually thousands of small holes have been punched in my tarps. lol

Question:	are the stated measurements of these tarp the "finished" measurements
Answer:	Yes, at least for me. I ordered a 12'x12' and it was within an inch or so. Unfortunately, I needed it to be smaller and was expecting the finish size to be 6" less that the cut size as is typical for tarps. It would be good if they gave this info in the specs.

Answer:	Advertised as a heavy duty tarp, I expected the holes to be approximately 18" apart. I have purchased several tarps advertised as heavy duty, and that was the spacing I have always seen. The 24 x 36 tarp I received has spacing no less than 32", and mostly about 36". I know it won't hold up to a strong wind like this, so I am purchasing a grommet Installation tool that is costing me about what the tarp cost. Sad that they advertise it as heavy duty just based on the thickness.

Answer:	Have you ever purchased dimensional lumber? Generally, when you buy a 2 x 4" or 2 x 6" stud- they come out as 1-1/2" x 3- 1/2", 1-1/2 x 5-1/2"etc....

Answer:	Because it's an emergency shelter, not a tent. It's to be carried on a day hike, as protection against hypothermia if forced to overnight. You'd look to set it up out of the wind, in someplace wooded if possible. You could use a pack as a wind block or semi-seal (with duct tape, spruce or pine branches, etc.) the end that gets the prevailing wind. If you want more serious protection, invest in a bivy sack by Outdoor Research or Black Diamond.
Question:	Is this a flat 8'x5' sheet? i am looking for a blanket
Answer:	No. It's a tube tent that comes with a "rope"/ridge line to run under the top so it will keep its shape. It's fairly bulky, but then it's a two-person tent. I think extra Mylar blankets would be advisable.
Question:	Is this breathable; will I wake soaked in my sweat or encased in ice
Answer:	This is just like a potato chip bag. So no it is not breathable. And since it has a reflective surface, it will reflect your body heat back to you. Whether or not you wake up soaked in sweat depends upon how tight you seal the ends, and the outside conditions. It is just as the name says, an Emergency Survival Shack. I purchased this for an emergency shelter to keep in my go bag, or in my daily back pack. (one in each). I hope I never need to use it but if I do it will be better than having nothing at all. If you want a breathable tent, buy one made of nylon.

Answer:	From one camper to another. It is already waterproof. We took the tent camping and had a downpour and we stayed dry. I would save waterproof sprays for after years of use and if you see a leak. Just FYI do not spray any bug repellent on the tent or near it. That stuff will eat away the frabric and the waterproof integrity. Just one campers advice to another.

Answer:	Honestly I don’t know about the warranty, it has foreign instructions... seem to be Chinese... but I already used it under the rain... it was ok, water didn’t get inside the tent, in the morning it was dripping wet but I think it was due to condensation; 2 adults, one toddler and one small dog slept in the tent ( ventilation windows are small, and they close easily with the wind ) and also the “front gate” was closed, bottom line: the material seem durable, Design is 3.8 stars which is good for the price, it doesn’t come with the poles shown in the pictures... I hope I could help you with your decision
