Answer:	If you don't expand the bag, the tent packed inside the bag is 47" x 10" x 9"

Answer:	If you were to keep the zipper windows closed you would have a sauna. The tent is not torrential rain proof, but it is waterproof and that goes for inside as well as out.

Answer:	The tent has an integrated rain fly. There's a video on the Coleman site that shows it performing. For me though, I'd buy the optional rain fly accessory for added protection and ventilation.

Answer:	It took my wife and I less then 1/2 hour to set it but longer to get it finally done maybe 15 minutes.

Answer:	I compared specs on the Coleman website. The only difference is floor vents for ventilation, auto-roll windows, and led lighting. They are the same height in the center by the way, 6ft 2in.

Answer:	Hi, To tell you the truth, I'm not sure. We put it up in the back yard to test as is, and it could not handle light rain. We have another Coleman with a steeper slope, and so the water flows off the rain-fly before it can wick through the material (It stood up to a downpour last night). Any of these tents where you have a flat rain-fly above a screen, I believe you will have this problem. I suppose you could spray the entire rainfly with the waterproofing spray recommended for the seams? I'm not sure how much this would cost though.We are likely to go for the Coleman Evanston 8 (non-screen porch version). The only part of the rainfly that is flat is the front overhang above the ground. There is a good 3-star review under the Coleman Evanston 8 by Jeff042479 which describes the waterproofing process for these Coleman tents.Hope that helps. Good luck.

Answer:	I have this tent and can verify that it works well in Montana (where I live). I have never camped in Ohio but if you make sure the door is facing north towards MT, you should be fine. 😉

Answer:	According to the description, the 17x9 dimension is for the tent sleeping area, which would not include the porch. It says that the screened porch is additional, which would mean that it is not included in the 17 x 9 dimension given

Answer:	The first time it took about 30 stressful minutes. I did it by myself so it would take a lot less time with 2 people. I can now set it up by myself in about 10 minutes. It's super easy. Make sure you follow the instructions as they are color coded. It's a great tent especially the door. The only negative is the screened in area is kinda small and does not have a floor. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.

Answer:	Yes, it comes with everything you need to set it up. The only thing I would suggest is to buy some seam sealer and go around the seams to prevent water leaks. But it includes the rainfly, stakes, directions, etc. I love our tent, I hope you do too!

I just opened it again last night for the first time in years and set it up in my lockdown back garden which is on the ground (more like sand here on the equator) to have a spontaneous outside camping night. Well next to being virtually in a new bought state with no discoloration, or time induced damage the tent was virtually dustless .. I can know as I have severe allergies and hayfever. I swear it also rooted the weeds that were growing and sweeped the back porch clean of dust&sand too. exiting the tent I felt like I freshly showered and my clothes were folded too! Highly recommended

Answer:	Hi! The screen room does have a floor- same type of plastic floor as the main portion of the tent. The windows on the inside of the tent have zip up flats, but the screened in portion at the apex of the tent does not. That is covered only by the rain fly.
Question:	With the back being 80% screened, does this make it too cold inside for kids (just in regards to regular cold mountain mornings--not winter camping
Answer:	We went camping in this tent in mid-September at approx 12,000 ft above sea-level in Colorado and yes, not having a permanent cover over the back of the screened portion made it very cold. We ended up having to cover the back screen wall with moving blankets we had in the back of our car. This is just a one season tent for high altitudes, summer.
Question:	If i was going to lay a tarp down first before setting the tent up(so nothing pokes through bottom), how big of a tarp would i need
Answer:	we have a 16x20 ft tarp that we slightly fold over about 2 ft. that gives us about 3 ft in front of the tent as an entrance outside of the screened in area. you definitely need a large tarp for this tent even though it may look ridiculous when you fold it out :)

Answer:	Sleeping area is approximately square - about 10X10. The porch is about 4 ft deep and 10 ft wide on the sleeping area side, but the front porch corners are angled, so the front width of the porch is only about 9 ft.

Answer:	No Karen, this tent like any other camping tent needs a soft surface to nail down the pegs. Unless you want/can bolt it down with a drill.

Answer:	Queen beds are 5' wide and this tent is 10'x15' so in theory they should fit one way or another. Also depends how tall the beds are though, if they're just a foot off the ground you'll be good, but the higher ones might not because the sides of the tent slope in. I use two queen matresses with chairs in the middle and gear bags at the feet of the beds, plenty of room for a few days of camping.

Answer:	Mattress top is waterproof and won't affect the sides

Answer:	They are made of two types of fabric. I would say you could wipe down the middle plastic-like panel but would not suggest the cloth-like elastic panels on the sides. These are very durable so if you bought a few sets perhaps you could just apply a new cover for each client and launder them at the end of the day. I use them because of potty training and they hold up very well to being washed. Past options I have tried were more plastic all over and were easy to wipe down but ripped all too often. Answer:	"Hard" is a relative term. It's possible but would be easier with two. Most tents are much easier with two.

Answer:	You need to use a footprint (tarp) and trench around the tent. You should also set the tent up before using it in the field and use seam sealer on it. Follow the directions on the bottle. Some tents even come with a small bottles of it but its not expensive. This advice goes with just about every tent made of nylon.

Answer:	yeah the back wall is always open. there's no window to zip up. the tent is really designed to run with the rain fly on it all the time. We love this tent and camped in it all last season and had no complaints.

Answer:	For tent sizing, a general rule of thumb is that whatever person size the tent says it can hold, take half off for a comfortable fit. 6 people would be sardines in a can.... this is a good size for 2 people! lololol but i like space....

Question:	I bought this tent and the top bars (about three) won't extend. We've tried our hardest. Anyone else have this difficulty
Answer:	I had this problem with one of the bars. I discovered that somehow the leg end of the bar had gotten turned upside down. One side of the top bar and one side of the leg bar (bar that extends out and is connected to the downward leg) are flat. Make sure that the flat side of the leg bar is facing down toward the tent roof. My leg bar had somehow become inverted and was impossible to pull out. In other words the flat side was facing up and the push button that locks the leg in place was facing down. We disconnected the clips on the tent and rotated the leg bar so that it's flat side and the top bar flat side matched and this resolved the issue completely.
Question:	Actual Dimensions of tent when IN THE BAG, the 14x10 bag please... I am trying to determine if we can fit the14x10 in the trunk of my car
Answer:	I actually measured it, in the bag, as 52" x 13" x 12". It's a bit heavy, so allow some extra room to manoeveur!

Answer:	I gotta say i love the answers. But whoever this is that asked if you can fit 27 people in a 16 person tent, come on, really???? The maximum number of sleeping occupants is based off how many people can sleep in the tent using 3 people per queen sized mattress, the most common size air mattress to use in a tent. So unless you've got like 5 or 6 people per mattress, which will pop the mattress, there's no way you're fitting even 20 people in the tent. Read the description.

Question:	Desert / 120F + question: For extreme heat - would this thing help to cool down as well
Answer:	While it doesn't actually hit 120F in Florida, the heat index the last time I went camping was at least 105F. I use a heavyduty tarp that is grey on one side and silver on the other; silver side up and we were quite comfortable. Nights were cool (relatively, temp was about 80) which certainly helped as did the shade from the trees but I think you'll benefit from a bigger, denser, darker colored tarpaulin rather than the rainfly for maximum shade/cooling benefit.
