Step 1: Determine Mattress Type

First, know what type of mattress you have.

• WORKS WITH Innerspring and Latex mattresses up to 14″ thick only.
• DOES NOT WORK on Tempur-Pedic, Memory Foam mattress, air, water or sofa bed mattresses because the effect of the support is absorbed rather than transferred.
• While some have success with Hybrid Mattresses made with a top layer of memory foam, positive results are more challenging.

Step 2: Measure the Depth of Your Sag

Measure the depth of your sag using a yardstick and tape measure as shown in the photo.

You will insert this between your mattress and box to directly target the sagging area. Make sure you have the correct mattress base:

• WORKS WITH boxsprings, platforms, and similarly designed bases

Step 3: Choose the Correct Thickness for a Level Sleeping Surface

Choose either the 1″ thick Standard (or) the 1 ½” thick Standard Deep based on your sag depth (step 2). You want a level sleeping surface – do not over compensate for the sag or it will create a hump and be uncomfortable!

• DOES NOT WORK for sags much less than 1” or much over 2” deep.
• Start with one insert for each sag or person then add more. The 1 ½” thick is a heat fused 2 ply material.

Answer:	The pump plugs into an 120v electrical socket - it does not hold a charge. So you can use in your home or out in the field if you have 12v/120v converter to attach to your car battery. I use a converter from Harbor Freight, an extension cord & the pump to inflate the air mattress. Works ok....

Answer:	The mattress valve connection is unique. You could use a battery pump if you could find the right adapter. Not sure if a generic adapter would have the needed seal. I use a Centech Power Inverter (Item 66817) from Harbor Freight to inflate while car camping.

Answer:	Plug it in to inflate it to whatever firmness you desire. Then you can pull the plug and move the mattress to wherever you want. I found that the air mattress did a very good job of holding its inflated pressure for a week.
Question:	If I keep it covered with a quilt will it hold up to my cat walking on it
Answer:	I would never promise an inflatable mattress would hold up to any cat that had their claws. The instructions do say pets should not be allowed on the mattress.
