Answer:	According to the manufacturers site the "High emission system releases the maximum product (1.84 oz per second) to provide optimal protection"So the 9.2 oz can will spray for 5 seconds.The 7.2 oz can should spray for 3.9 seconds.This of course assumes the 1.84 oz spray per second applies to both size cans.

Answer:	The Federal government permits bear sprays to have a maximum CRC (Capsaicin and Related Capsaicinoids) strength of 2.0% which is rather low but plenty to get the job done. Consumer self defense sprays might run 5-10% or even more and some police sprays as high as 20%. However the strength tends to have more of an impact of how long the effect will last than the actually pain it causes. Yes it will burn like hell if you get it on you. The oils are not water soluble so just rinsing won't help. Don't rub your eyes. Best thing to keep on hand with this stuff is baby shampoo to wash away the oils

Answer:	I think it would. Probably better than it would on a bear is my guess. Coyotes get scared by anything surprising in my experience. I came across a group of at least 6 of them on a dirt road in the dark once. There was no way around them. It was a creek on one side and steep hill on the other. Figured a good offense is the best defense. Wind was with me and I crept up pretty close then all of a sudden charged into them screaming and waving my arms. Scared the living heck out of them. They were falling butt over teakettle getting away. I would have liked to have the horn with me at the same time.

Question:	How many times can you spray this? Is it a one time use only
Answer:	As far as 'how many times can you spray it', that depends on how long you spray it. I tested the one I have by spraying it for about 2 seconds just to see how far the spray would go, and there is still plenty left in the container. I'd recommend you test it by quickly spraying it if you get it, just to make sure it's not defective. You don't want to find out it's defective if the time comes that you happen to need it. By the way, the spray went maybe 20 feet but in the event that a bear was approaching I'm confident the cloud of pepper spray it would turn the bear around. The strap on mine tore after wearing it on my belt over a 3 day period. I'll have to have it sown. But buying it from Amazon was $10 cheaper than getting it from Gander Mountain, and since it's the same brand name I suppose the strap could have torn no matter where I bought it. If you're backpacking in bear country than 'Bear Spray' is definitely something you have to have. And hopefully you'll never have to use it.

Answer:	I own the Sabre pepper gel in the larger can (4 oz) and it sprays 15 feet, less as it gets used. Works for smaller animals (we have a few aggressive coons, but I always spray above or next to them). I've encountered many coyotes and I've never had to spray, my strobe headlamp works. They trot off. Once I had to throw stones because he was too far for my spray. So I wanted something stronger for the occasional bear and mountain lion that has wondered into my Boulder, CO neighborhood but after using/testing sooo many of the Sabre pepper canisters I have come to hate the sprays - they ALWAYS have blow back. Gel does not. Who has time to wonder if the wind's at your back? As much as I like Sabre I'm going to look for bear GEL, if that exists. Also note, out of at least a dozen Sabre canisters over the years (all sizes) at least 30-40% arrived defective and Amazon won't allow returns. (Defective being too hard to compress the lever or squirting all over the place.) Always test it so you know it'll work when needed.

Answer:	Use beer cans on some rope / fishing line. Best thing is to dig a air horn up. Use fishing line to a cotter pin that holds up a weight on the button one he trips the line the cotter pin pulls which drops the weight on the button giving a constant blast. Contraption will have to be crafted. Kydex is thermo modable or use pvc to wrap around the body and have the pin on that with a shaft weight about 1” long then strap it to a tree. Lots of ideas 💡 but I doubt a bell will be enough to detour a hungry curious bear 🐻. Good luck 🍀 also I recommend having bear spray.
Question:	Would this work for mountain lions, too? I think they avoid people if possible
Answer:	Not taking any potentially dangerous animal by surprise is good, so advance noise can prevent that. Problem bears or mountain lions can behave out of the norm and be aggressive, not just defenaive. Best to check with a game official in your area or where you are concerned about this. They can give you more complete information.

Answer:	I put the bells on my dogs collars and I can hear them for about a half mile away, so that the predators like bears or i would suppose tigers or leopards can hear them coming it then gives the bears or other predators time to get away. When a predator is startled or feels trapped or surprised that is when they are most dangerous. So I use them for the protection of my dogs as well as myself. Wevdo not have tigers or leopards in Montana but we have black bears and grizzly bears and mountain lions (cougars) and since using the bells I have not encountered any of them. Prior to the bells I have encountered all of them at one time or another.

Answer:	I have no idea.....I sprayed a dog not on a leash as it advanced toward me and the owner of the beast just stood and did nothing. When the dog got to about 6ft. from me a gave it a good blast of the spray on the nose and eyes. The dog ran and started sneezing and rubbing it's face in the grass. The owner (a woman) ran toward me furiously and when she got close enough and feeling threatened, I gave her a round house kick to her chest ( I know some MA). She fell to the ground, the beast kept rubbing it's face in the grass and I walked away. People need to realize that all folks are not dog lovers.

Question:	what is the dimensions of the actual pepper can? Length and diameter
Answer:	People saying 22 grams ar enot allowed do not know what they are talking about. 22 gram pepper spray canisters are in hundreds and hundreds of NJ stores including my local Home Depot.. If you call the NJ State Police they will tell you 22 grams is fine. Thousands of products in US are labeled "22 grams/ 0.75 ounce" General conversion charts out 22 grams at 3/4 of an ounce. On top of that if you go by weight, the liquid inside is actually slightly under .75 ounce and hte NJ statue does not specificy volume. Lastly if you look at findlaw of NJ law, not one singe person has been fined or prosecuted for 22 oc spray canister being "over 3/4 of an ounce."

Answer:	IT WORKS! I have only had to use it on a group of attackers once...the can was expired by 2yrs and it did the job. It's not an automatic shut down and a person who's adamant about getting you may still advance. This is really for that split second you need to get the heck out of that situation. Now on to "trial #2"...yup, I let someone spray me (don't try it folks! There's plenty of dummies on YouTube you can laugh at. My "test" was a little different. I'm a certified/professional firearm instructor and me and my team were wondering, "If someone sprayed you to try to do you harm/kill you...could you still get off accurate shots in time...?" ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT AND I DREW THE SHORT STICK! I really did feel like I was a badass...for the first 2-3 seconds, and then it hit me! Our test showed that if you get sprayed and need to fire your weapon...it's not easy! Get it done and done right as soon as possible because within seconds you'll be wiping your eyes, and with the pepper gel, that just makes things that much worse as you spread it everywhere else trying to wipe it away. Best advice I have, and something we were smart enough to have ready. If you do use (carry this with you) the product, pick up a couple Sudecon Wipes or, Decontamination spray. It's not an automatic cure but, it does help a LOT if the spray/gel gets on you. If you have to get a little on you to get a lot on who/whatever you're in fear of, that's what you gotta do and it's nice to have a little relief close by.

Answer:	My question, also. This could look too much like a real gun in dim light, getting you in over your head for obvious reasons. The original (blue version, still owned) has a much milder look in line with its limited injury potential. I don't even feel quite right using that. Anything that looks like a gun could be overreacted to with real guns.

Answer:	There is a nylon type holster and a leather holster for the Mace pepper spray gun 2.0. Answer:	It is a small magnetic tab that is attached to it and velcros out of the way. I I thought the same at first but it is there nothing complicated

Answer:	Nice sarcasm. The bell is loud. Just like the sloshing sound of water in a hydropack, a loud clanging noise can drive you crazy from this bell. For a more muffled sound, you can put it into a fuelbelt and zip it shut, or get a bigger magnet than the one that is attached. It does seem to keep all animals away. I used it this past weekend for a 15 mile run on a tight turning single track in the thick woods, and heard plenty of scurrying but I didn't see anything at all. However, I'm a veteran and I like to sing cadence and Air Force songs for motivation and to keep animals at bay as well.
