Answer:	With the lantern standing on it's top and the bottom removed, iif you look into the lantern battery compartment, you will see a stem sticking up in the middle . That stem is round with a raised pointy area on it. Look at the bottom piece and you will see a hollow stem sticking up that has an opening with a matching pointy area. In order to put the bottom on the lantern you have to match those two pointed areas together , slide the bottom in and then twist clockwise.. If you don't match the stem in the lantern to the hollow tube in the bottom piece they won't go together.

This is good light, it is NOT a good light for emergency unless you insert a piece of thin cardboard to block one of the contacts.

Answer:	unless you are going out of charging range for more than 2 days who cares . i charge mine before a hurricane a few times a year if that and its good for spot flashing all year i get allot of Florida Panthers , Racoons , and bobcats in and around my yard . i have taught them to stay out of my backyard and away from my 5 cheewowas with the help of my Anatolian who just kills anything that comes inside the backyard . my fence is inside my property , and they all have learned to stay outside my fence . 16 years and my racoons now walk in sight outside the fence with no further training ( i used a BB gun to ding em ) when i moved in and they shit in my pool and raided my garbage cans . my neighbor still gets em in the garage , after missing 500X with assorted weapons including 357's .they are smart and i assume teach it to the babies . the bobcats run , but the Panthers are huge and i worry about walking from my office to my house at 3 am . But the nite i walk out and there is one , i woiuld rather it ran after a warning shot then having to shoot it . my first encounter , it was sitting on my newspaper and after walking 4 car lengths and 5 ft away it let me walk back to my house . with 8 inch paws i measured in the dirt at the time ,m ( roads paved now ( ) . it could have killed me easily . so i would rather see one and avoid one and thats a main use of my light every nite . my fenced in area is 110ft x 110 ft or more inside the fence , i scan every night b4 i walk in lol . as much as i hunt and kill , i eat , My Dad taught me to respect nature over killing anything for nothing so you feel safer .

How to switch the 6 different light modes

• To Turn ON: press the button once to display battery status. Press it again to turn on the light. Press again will switch modes between Bright Light, High Light, Spot Light, Dim Light and OFF.
• To Turn OFF: Once the light has been on any mode for 25 seconds, press the button to turn it off.
• To use STROBE/SOS mode: Long press the button for 3 seconds and the light will begin flashing on and off; Press and hold for another 3 seconds, and it will flash an SOS pattern.

Question:	Where is it made? I see the dumb answer (made between New York and London) below but really, where is it made
Answer:	It costs only $13 so it's made in China, if it was made in New York it would cost $130, if London $230 :)
Question:	Where is the on/off switch for this lantern
Answer:	Just disassembled mine to make the lens "frosty" instead of clear (keep from burning my retinas!). There's a microswitch on top of the battery compartment. A long spring connected to the LED array presses against the switch to turn it off--extending obviously releases the switch. The battery compartment cover can be installed in 4 positions (rotating 90 degrees between). If not in the correct one of the 4, the spring would never press the normally-closed switch (opening the circuit and turning off the light). If your doesn't turn off, I'd suspect wrong orientation of the cover plate or that the spring has fallen off. Either would be a pretty simple fix. Curiously, I also found the long center screw was installed upside down. The bottom end plastic is shaped to capture the nut. It made initially disassembly slightly more difficult (you'll need a 7mm socket or open-ended wrench).

Answer:	Feb. 2019 - The box I just received says they’re now 100 lumens.

Answer:	Hello, the ad is not actually showing a battery but the collapsed lantern. It does take AA, 3 of them. I didn't buy my original lantern on Amazon but I came to buy a replacement one and looked at the questions. Oh, mine is having to be replaced because it kept getting borrowed once people saw how great it is until it finally failed to be returned. I'm buying several more as gifts!

Question:	Can I charge the lamp and at the same time using it
Answer:	Yes, you can. You can even use it as a charging socket when charging your device. It's useless. There have been any problems, so feel free to use it.
Question:	Is this waterproof? How is the effect
Answer:	This seems to be an X5 waterproof rating, and there should be no problem with normal rain. I can use it.
Question:	How long will it last before charging it again
Answer:	When car camping, I never completely drained my battery. I guess it will turn on the light within 24 to 36 hours. This is just a guess. I have never used it to charge my phone. Light up the tent and debris after dark, and then don’t need to charge it the next day.
Question:	How do i know when the led camping lantern is fully charge
Answer:	There is a row of charging indicator lights on top that tell you how much charge is remaining. When all the lights shine, then it is fully charged.
