Answer:	You must crank the light for 4 minutes to garner 1 minute of talk time, I'm unsure of how much phone percentage this would be, I would assume it would be at least 1%.

Answer:	The AA batterys is for backup only.. If u are on a situation were u can't charge the Lantern u can pop in 3 AA batterys .. Or say u don't have power and the Lantern dies in the middle of the night... instead of cranking the dynamo to charge the battery 10 min of crank at 120 rpm for a hour and half of light.. Some may find it easier to just put 3 AA batterys in for All night backup power .. And I'm not 100% sure on this but if you put 3 rechargeable AA it may give u evern more on time plus recharge AA rechargeable batterys win it's plug to change the Lantern.. So hope information helps :)

Answer:	Don't worry about it, the red light just means it's not fully charged yet. Try it with batteries and see if the red light goes out. By the way, I love the lantern.

Answer:	It can be charged with AC power by purging it in before a power outage. No idea how long it takes to get from 0 to 100 percent with hand cranking but it would take some time. I crank for a while and then use it and when it dims I crank it again
