User questions & answers
Question: | Where is it made |
Answer: | The Husqvarna 272K comes in a 12" or 14" configuration. Order your blade accordingly, If your saw is a 14" it will fit, according to the user manual. There's better blades on the market designed for high speed work, I don't know how long the blade will last in such demanding environment.I used mine to cut concrete with a walk behind, and it performed slightly worse than the other blade i had as a backup, ended up using this and a Makita blade to cut an RV pad in my backyard. the pieces of concrete ended up being 12X18 in length. |
Question: | Does this come with a sheath |
Answer: | if bore size fits yes it will work! |
Question: | Where was this made? Is the handle fiberglass, or is it one-piece steel with a rubber handle, or what |
Answer: | Yes it should work good probably better if you had a wet chop saw. I used it on my regular wood cutting DeWalt chop saw and it went through rocks easily just created a whole lot of dust. Nearby air compressor and shop vacuum helped to clean it up the mess. |
Question: | Is the axe edge sharp |
Answer: | There is a lot to the question you asked. If the crack is just a hairline crack I would used the blade but I wouldn't chase it that deep. If it were a big crack I would use the same blade and chase it deep. Furthermore, if there is structural damage I would use fabric over the chased crack or cracks and skim the entire area including filling the chased cracks. Fabric comes up to 36" wide to fix a big section. Rapid set "cement all" is an excellent product to use for the repairs. Use their pharmacy products to control drying time, etc. |

Question: | Hi people. :o)....hey, it it listed twice on this page that the hawk is 15 inches long but also once it states 17.5 x 10 x 1.5 inches. which is it |
Answer: | Mine is 16" tall and just about 8" inches wide from blade edge to point. |
Question: | Is alright to throw |
Answer: | It is Not the best I would use a gil hibben axe but it may stick it really matters the use all and all I suggest not to throw it |
Question: | How much was the postage and packaging? it says £3999.98, this must be wrong |
Answer: | Should be around $10.70 |

Question: | Is the handle plastic or wood |
Answer: | They are ‘ice cubes’ and I don’t know if they can be heated and how. Definitely you can’t place them into a microwave. |
Question: | Is the spike on the end sharpened as well, or does it only function as a punch |
Answer: | I have no idea! I usually rinse them under the running water and place back into a freezer. |
Question: | How long is the handle |
Answer: | probably not - I bought these for my wife to use for wine. She advises that the stones do not chill room temp wine as much as ice. BUT, I don't know how many stones she used. |
Question: | Is this tomahawk full tang |
Answer: | Each cube is 1 inch square. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this properly weighted for throwing |
Answer: | i throw this axe all the time it took me 2 years to break the handle and it only broke from me being stupid, id put loctite on the screws but other than that its a ton of fun to throw |
Question: | should I rewrap it |
Answer: | I wouldn't rewrap the handle with new cord. Mine came tightly, nicely wound. Plus, I don't have the skills to duplicate the winding job they did. |
Question: | Im getting the hawk tomorrow and I wanted to know if its sharp also I have a lot of paracord should I rewrap the whole thing or just wrap the top part and also can anyone tell or send me a link on how to wrap it thanks |
Answer: | VERY SHARP- no joke, actually beware when you take it out of it's sheath, it's very very sharp. As far as the parachord goes- mine still has the wrap that it came with and that seems to work just fine for me. |
Question: | Has anyone had a problem with the bolts hold the head in place coming loose |
Answer: | I noticed one of the bolts became a little bit loose after a particularly strenuous work out. I removed all of the bolts, used a little Loctite and put the bolts back in and tightened them. No more bacing out bolts. I hope this helps. |
