Question:	I am trying to decide between the single and the double. Will the double be comfortable for one person as well as two
Answer:	I have a double, which I love. I recently bought a single to see if I would like it. I didn't and decided to return it. There's nothing wrong with the size of the single itself. The problem is the design. I'm six foot, so maybe the design issue wouldn't affect a smaller person as much. But basically these hammocks are made of three pieces--the center section and the two edge sections, which are a different color. The problem is that for the single the center section is so narrow that when you lie off diagonal (essential for getting a comfortable flat position), the seam that joins the center section to the side section runs under your shoulders. This is a problem because the seam doesn't have the stretch flexibility of the rest of the material, so it acts like a rope digging into your shoulders as you lie there. It's a shame because everything else about this hammock is fantastic, and I would really love to have a hammock in this single size with Wise Owl quality and price.

When sudden force is put on a hammock or straps the weight can be exponentially higher than just sitting or laying weight. If you just place items, people etc... in a hammock, or on the end of straps you can put a much higher weight than even 500 lbs, although we want to make sure that our customers are safe and do not over do it so we put the weight at 500 lbs.

You’ll need AT LEAST 12-15 feet of distance between trees or posts.

The ideal height from the ground to your hammock is around 18 inches.

Imagine the height of an average chair. Perfect height to sit in your hammock or to swing your legs carefully around for laying position.



Aim to have the straps at a 30-degree angle from the tree or post.

This distributes the best amount of force.



Keeping the angle in mind. You can adjust the height of your hammock on the tree or post.

As a minimum we suggest securing the straps at least 48 inches up the tree.



Then with the multiple loops on the strap you have many options to clip the carabiners into the perfect hanging position.
