Here are some key features and types of small camping stoves:
Fuel Types: Small camping stoves can be classified based on the type of fuel they use. Common fuel options include:
- Canister Stoves: These stoves use compressed gas canisters, usually containing isobutane or propane. They are convenient and easy to use, with a simple screw-on attachment.

- Alcohol Stoves: Consist of a small burner and a reservoir for the alcohol fuel.
Boil Time: The time it takes to boil water or cook food varies depending on the stove type, fuel, and environmental conditions.Canister stoves and liquid fuel stoves generally offer faster boil times than wood-burning or alcohol stoves.
Cooking Options: Some camping stoves are designed solely for boiling water, while others have adjustable flames for simmering and cooking more complex meals.
Portability: One of the primary advantages of small camping stoves is their portability. They are designed to fit easily in a backpack, making them suitable for long hikes and trips where space and weight are at a premium.
Durability: High-quality camping stoves are built to withstand the rigors of outdoor use, including exposure to wind, rain, and rough handling.
Safety: Users should follow safety guidelines provided by the manufacturer, such as proper ventilation and safe handling of fuel.
In summary, small camping stoves are essential tools for outdoor enthusiasts, providing a convenient way to prepare hot meals and beverages while enjoying the great outdoors. The choice of stove depends on factors like the type of fuel, intended use, and personal preferences.

Melt some paraffin wax (gulf brand or equivalent ) in a double boiler then pour the hot wax over the saw dust until it is saturated...
