User questions & answers
Question: | One of my bottles leaked badly. Anyone else have that issue |
Answer: | Anyone of our pack mounts will work far anyone of our cans. You will only need extensions if you start to stack cans on top of eachother.Thank you |
Question: | What is the difference between these bottles and the old school MSR bottles besides the cap |
Answer: | This is a 2 gallon fuel tank |
Question: | Where is bottle made |
Answer: | Yes they can, I have a 2 gal fuel and a 2 gal water pack that are mounted horizontally on the front rack of my Polaris quad. I have had them for about a year and no leaks. |
Question: | Is this product allowed for carry on luggage on a plane |
Answer: | I have the same problem. I have had this 1-gallon container for 3 years, filled with gas and stored in my truck bed. This is the 1st time I actually use it, try to pour the gas out, and I could not. No gas come out of the nozzle no matter how I turn the lock/unlock ring. Think about it when you are on the road running out of gas, then find the stored gas you carried for years just for in case like this would not come to recuse you... Fortunately I am in my garage just trying to change the old gas with refresh one and I am still researching on how to make the simple thing work - get the gas out of the nozzle. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the smallest pot diameter this stove will hold? I have a small pot that is only 3.5" in diameter and think it may not be stable. Thanks |
Answer: | Measuring tip to tip on the supportsame is 4 1/8 inches. I wouldn't go smaller than 3.5 but I think you're good. Make certain the stove is on a level surface. It works great. Get a small GSI coffee pot. |
Question: | How adjustable is the heat |
Answer: | Very adjustable. You can turn it up full (rocket) or turn it down for a nice simmer. |
Question: | How long does a fuel canister last with this stove? Planning a trip would like to know how many canisters it would take for a week |
Answer: | I recently took a 3 day 2 night trip with this stove and a single 110 gram canister. I Used it to make breakfast 2 cups water in a Mountain House scrambled eggs with bacon and 2 large cups of coffee. Then dinner was very similar. So I used it 4 times to boil about 4 cups of water each time. I still had enough fuel left for a couple more meals. Use a windscreen, a wide base pot like an Imusa .9 quart grease pot. I would think a single 230 to 250 gram canister would be enough. If you want to have a backup use an alcohol stove. I do regardless. |
Question: | Where is it made |
Answer: | The MSR Pocket Rocket is made in Korea. |

User questions & answers
Question: | will this fit a sigg fuel bottle |
Answer: | No, it clamps on to the old hose. The hose has to be cut to do this. |
Question: | Anyone know the caps thread dimensions? Size, pitch |
Answer: | Most likely yes as it fit my Stihl. Performance is another issue. Keep shopping |
Question: | What are these caps made of |
Answer: | I had to do some adapting to get it to fit on my 25 ft indoor coiled hose. I'm afraid I can't tell you about your sprayer. It appeared to be a 3/8" stem and matched my hose exactly. I took my Dremel with a cone shaped stone and enlarged the inside diameter of the hose until it fit snuggly. Good Luck! |
Question: | Will this cap work on the old SIGG fuel bottles |
Answer: | No, probably not. Parts are usually not interchangeable between brands. |

This configuration diminishes reliance on internal canister pressure, greatly improving cold-weather and low-fuel performance, and boots stove output significantly anytime speed really counts.
- Inverted Liquid-Feed: Increased cold-weather and low-fuel performance with more consistent output across all fuel levels.
- Efficient: Remote burner allows the use of a windscreen for maximum efficiency.
- Lightweight & Compact: Weighs just 6.6 oz.; fits in a one-liter pot.
- Versatile: Supports pots up to 10" maximum diameter; compatible with bake ovens.

The MSR Guardian Water Purifier Pump was originally designed for the U.S. Military, who turned to MSR’s advanced water filtration technology to keep troops safe and healthy in every remote corner of the globe. Six years of research and development went into engineering the pump purifier, which removes viruses (such as norovirus, rotavirus, hepatitis A), bacteria (such as E. coli. Shigella, salmonella, cholera), protozoa (such as giardia, cryptosporidium, amoebae), and sediment from contaminated water sources anywhere on earth. It meets the strict NSF protocol P248 testing standard for the U.S. Military, using medical-grade fibers to provide protection from the tiniest microbiological waterborne threats. Designed to be fast, simple, and safe, it pumps at a rapid 2.5 liters per minute, has a long-lasting advanced filter that treats up to 10,000 liters of water, and withstands freezing temperatures, drops, heavy use, and harsh environments. A self-cleaning mechanism ensures reliability, flushing contaminants in the filter back into the source, so there is no backflushing or scrubbing cartridges to maintain flow. The MSR Guardian Water Purifier Pump is ideal for wilderness, backcountry use, expeditions, global travel, and emergency preparedness. It measures 8.2 x 4.7 inches and weights 17.3 ounces. Made in the USA.

The MSR PocketRocket 2 Mini Stove Kit defines big performance in a tiny package. An ultra-compact cook-and-eat kit for minimalist solo backpackers, it features the fast-boiling PocketRocket 2 stove (boils 1 liter of water in just 3.5 minutes) and is perfectly sized to make hot water for one pouch meal or cup of coffee. For efficiency, its pot doubles as your eat-and-drink vessel and nests the stove and a 4-ounce MSR fuel canister (sold separately). Outside, the extra bowl comes at no packing penalty. The pot’s lid doubles as a strainer, and the bowl is hot- and cold-safe. When small packs are mandatory on everything from alpine objectives to bikepacking missions, this micro cook kit is your ally. The kit packs down to 4 x 4 x 5 inches, and weighs just 9.9 ounces, keeping pack weight to minimum. The PocketRocket 2 Mini Stove Kit includes a PocketRocket 2 stove, .75-liter hard-anodized aluminum pot,16-ounce bowl, clear lid with straining ports, ultralight mini pot lifter, and stuff sack.

Product description
Not only is the Reactor Stove System the fastest and most fuel efficient stove ever made, it’s the only one that delivers that level of performance in the cold and wind of the real world. Burn less fuel, carry less fuel, and move faster than with any other stove available. And with MSR’s proven quality and durability, you can be assured of that performance to pull you through when you need it most.
- Integrated System: State-of-the-art stove and high-efficiency cookware are combined into a compact, self-contained and easy-to-use system.
- Unrivaled Boil Time: Outperforms the competition in head-to-head lab tests—boiling .5 liter of water in just 1.5 minutes—with an even greater advantage out in the real world.
- Unmatched Wind Protection: Heat exchanger completely encloses radiant burner head, virtually eliminating the effects of wind to maintain outstanding boil times and save fuel.
- Maximum Efficiency: Patent-pending radiant burner, heat exchanger and internal pressure regulator produce best-in-class, fuel-sipping efficiency in all conditions.
- Compact: All systems are self-contained, fitting the stove and fuel inside the pot. (1.0L Reactor System nests optimally with our new, smaller-diameter 4 oz. canisters, which are sold separately.). Made in the USA
