Answer:	I asked my vet about this very thing. He informed me that a digestibility analysis is performed on all Royal Canine food’s ingredients and that RC is an excellent dog food, surpassing the industry standards. My second question related to allergies, and he responded that he’d been to a diet seminar as part of his continuing education, and of the common dog food ingredients analyzed by the seminar leaders, corn was lower on the “allergen risk” list than wheat, and evidently wheat was fairly low on the risk list, ranking around number seven. He didn’t really elaborate about the first six allergens, but assured me that RC’s dog food is a great choice.
Question:	Used for wood burning stoves
Answer:	The nuggets are small, but I do not know how small Pedigree bites are, so cannot compare. I buy it for my largish Chihuahua (about 9 lbs) and she is comfortable with the size of the nuggets. It's the only dry dog food she likes. You might want to try moistening the food with a little warm water so it is softer for your dog. If Xohi still finds it too big, you can also try placing the nuggets between two sheets of wax paper or plastic wrap and then pound them with a meat tenderizer mallet, bottom of a fry pan or even a heavy can. Just pound them enough to break them up into smaller pieces for Xohi (not too much that you end up with powder!). I have done this with other small dogs and they then can eat the smaller broken up pieces just fine. Hope this helps.

She recently became a picky eater 1) because she has about 5 teeth left with a degenerative gum disease which makes it difficult to find dry foods she can handle, 2) her stomach has become extremely sensitive due to her age and she won't eat foods she can't tolerate. Answer:	My cat won't touch wet food. He seems picky about texture. He really likes treats, but even those have to be certain textures and flavors: crunchy.I've tried organic and grain free and whatever else new fad has come along - he wouldn't touch them; he prefers Temptations and Friskies Party Mix (though I tried to indulge as many varieties as possible, which he had an allergic reaction to, so we're slowly reintroducing them one flavor at a time.)Our vet said that whatever food he'll eat, if it's working and he's healthy, don't change anything. So, Special 33 it is. I used to mix it with the Royal Canin Preference high protein, but sometimes he'd gorge and then throw up. Special 33 alone (with regular treats) seems to keep him the most happy.For medicine, we have a long pill syringe thing that can deposit the pill in his throat. Liquids, we shoot into his throat. He's pretty cooperative when it comes to meds.

Question:	Does the temperature control move the temp up and down? I have a different model and the temp control is only one button that goes from low to high
Answer:	If you are going to clamp the fan to the metal of the stove, just attach it to one of the screws on the frame of the fan. If you are just setting it under the firebox attach it to one of the bolts that secured the old fan to the fire box.

Answer:	Start hooking the wire up from the blower itself. The blower comes with a wire harness that plugs on to the blower and has a green ground wire. The ground wire has a round fitting on the end and should be put under one of the blower screws. Then follow the diagram back to the thermostat and the speed adjustment knob then to the plug.
Question:	How much does the heater weigh
Answer:	the 200 is for units with a dedicated wall switch for the blower and it has variable speed control. The 250 is required for units that do not have a dedicated wall switch for the blower but is in essence the same as the 200 with variable speed control.

Answer:	No, it only turns on when it is plugged in. Usually with these type of fireplaces, there should be duel switch on the wall, one to turn on the fireplace, the other to turn on the blower. One of the plugins under the fireplace should be controlled by the switch on the wall, if it was installed that way. Hopefully this helps answer your question.

Answer:	The wattage is 1500w, you should be able to use any extension cord you would use with a 1500w hair dryer. Because you will be using it for a much longer period of time than a hair dryer you may want to consider an extension cord of 14 gauge run the unit with full power for 15+ minutes and see if the cord gets hot. If it does go to a 12 gauge cord. Remember it uses very little power when used with the flame and sound, it uses the 1500 when you turn on the heat portion.

Question:	Is it normal for the plug to be hot
Answer:	I noticed mine was getting really hot. The instructions says not to use and extension cord but I HAD to so I ended up getting a heavy duty appliance extension cord. The plug only gets warm now, not super hot like before. Even if you’re not using an extension cord and gets hot make sure it’s plugged into a GFI outlet and that will solve the problem.

Answer:	From my understanding, infrared is 40% more efficient and heats faster (covering more sf as a result). However, the heat is direct and thus dissipates just as fast. Conventional heats the air unlike infrared and is supposed to last longer after the heater is off. Conventional also dehumidifies as a result. Not sure the extent to which all that is true with this specific product... I have the conventional one but not this one so can't compare.

Answer:	No. The thermal switch is the control for the automatic on-off feature. Even though your fireplace may feel cool to the touch outside, the location of the thermal switch is likely still warm enough to leave the fan running and circulating. It's working as intended.
Question:	Does the DFI 8511 have an adjustable thermostat
Answer:	If I remember correctly it is on ball bearings, I am really happy with mine, it works great.
