Answer:	Yes. As long as it doesn't tip or tilt in the car. There is a thick waterproof removable liner. I usually freeze water in ziploc bags or use ice packs. So I'm not certain how much water it could hold before leaking.

Question:	Is the ice chest water proof. Can I put ice into it without it leaking into my car
Answer:	Great question! For the first part: yes not only is the bag removable from the cart but the interior liner can be removed as well. For the second part: unfortunately a 5 gallon water jug is too large to fit inside the cooler. The water jug has a diameter of 10.75" and when that cooler is stretched out it will have a base of 10" x 8.5" --> too small for the jug. Hope this helped!
