Answer:	I used 2 of these, along with a couple other frozen ice packs. After an 8hr work day as a plumber riding around in my van the packs would still be slightly frozen. The quality of the bag will play a big factor.

Question:	Is it quiet or loud? Does it make noise the entire time or what
Answer:	It’s quiet until it drops the ice! I love this ice maker!!
Question:	Do you have to add ice maker cleaner to the tank
Answer:	The manual says that you should run a 50/50 vinegar water solution through it, and then a full cycle of just plain water. I usually do that every couple of months. It depends on the quality of your water. If you have hard water, I would say once a month depending upon how much you intend to use it. I use filtered water with mine.
Question:	Can u leave the ice in machine and it stay frozen
Answer:	The ice will melt slowly and recycle as water for new ice cubes. Once your ice cube tray is full of ice cubes, you will have a full tray until you take ice cubes out again since new cubes are made as others melt.
Question:	How does the self cleaning mode work
Answer:	I haven't tried it yet but there's a plug on the bottom of the device to drain the water. Then you oit in white vinegar and water, hit a self clean button that starts running it through the system. Drain when done and I think run through a couple of rounds of clean water, draining each time.

Answer:	I just measured my filter and it is almost 8 inches wide/length and 5 inches tall/height and 3/4 inch thick.

Question:	From what I see in the reviews it seems that there is a problem with the cord getting to hot and the tip of it melting.Is there a better quality cord
Answer:	I've had no issues with the cord attached to the cooler itself but I did have an issue with the Schumacher PC-6 120AC to 6A 12V DC Power Converter that I purchased for indoor use. It ran hot and in less than 6 months it died (Amazon graciously allowed me to return it and gave me a full refund). I replaced it with a Wagan 5 Amp AC to 12V DC Power Adapter. While it gets a little warm, it runs much cooler than with the Schumacher adapter. In fact, the Igloo runs quieter and appears to be more efficient with this adapter. That said I think the power source may be the root cause of the issues that others may have with overheating/melting. I run my cooler inside, all day, everyday as it serves as my office refrigerator and I've had it since last November. I love it and will buy another on the sad day planned obsolescence kicks in.
Question:	Why is the larger unit cheaper than the smaller unit
Answer:	Really don't know but I found out that the larger one keeps cooler much longer and at a lower degree.
Question:	What is the power consumption in amps? I'm useing deep cycle batteries, and low amps is a must
Answer:	Working current, battery consumption is between 3.5 to 4.8 Amps according to the owner's operating manual. The current draw is 6 amps maximum at 12-volt DC. I hope this is helpful.

Answer:	I have the same question except I'm wondering if the lid will close with 2-litre soda bottles standing inside. That 13 1/2" height measurment sounds rreeaalllly close to the height of a 2 litre bottle. Has anyone actually tried it?

Once the compressor kicked on my inverter cut out on solar. On ac at my house the max watts I saw was 210. Once things settle out it does go down to 130. My inverter is 2500 watts and is really old and I have smaller wires powering it so not the best test on solar. I can attest to this past weekend when it ran all weekend long on ac power. Ice all weekend and super fast rate. I would recommend this ice maker 100%" Thanks again Chris!

Answer:	The ice melts really fast. I would use it in my lunch cooler and in about 2 hours it would all be melted.

Answer:	There are others types for individual ice bags. This is most effective as a mat. I use it on top of the ice in my coolers on the boat and they keep the ice linger than without it. Would not recommend cutting it.
Question:	Could this be used for cooling oneself in a hot climate overnight
Answer:	Yes. I use it for that or for lower back pain. I place it in a gallon ziploc style bag (fits perfectly), freeze it, then place it inside a pillowcase. Its still cool after 8 hours. I purchased mine at my grocery store (Giant) in their seasonal aisle. They were two for $5.00.

Question:	How many squirrel carcasses will fit in the cooler if i already 11 lonestar beers and a quart of ice
Answer:	Your real problem is you're only bringing 11 beers. You may want to up the number of beers and leave the squirrel carcasses out of the cooler. I find fresh squirrel stays good out of refrigeration at least a day or so, just keep the flies away. Obviously, if you're bringing less than a case of beer your only really out for a day outing.
