From the time it plugged in It took about half a day to freeze ice cubes and using a single deep cycle Battery ran without recharging for three days. I take it camping. As far as I know, any refrigerator or freezer will not run properly in cold weather but you might be safe at 40 degrees. 80 is no problem.

Answer:	For anyone interested in current draw, I ran a test over 24 hours with a watt meter. The ambient temp was about 21 C (68 F) and the refrigerator was set to 0 C (32 F). In the 24 hours I opened the unit about 6 times to measure the temperate of items inside with a non-contact thermometer. Temperature of items maintained about 3-4 C. The current draw was just over 12 amps over the 24 hours. This gives an average draw of about .5 amps/hr. This will be higher if the ambient temps are higher of the temp of the unit is lowered.

Answer:	What power source are you using at this time? If household, then check your battery level switch, because it could be set where its top low of voltage. If its plugged in your vehicle, then your battery switch isn't set right or you don't have enough power in your vehicle. If you are using in a car it may not have enough power, because they take a lot of power. We use ours in a big rig with 4 batteries.

Question:	How many amps per hour does this fridge consume
Answer:	I think on initial startup when it is cooling from 80 degrees down to 30 or 35 I see about 4 amps of draw. Maybe slightly higher. In an ambient temperature environment of 75 degrees, it will run about 30% of the time. On the Eco setting that is it about 2.4 amps so divided that and 3rd and you will get your hourly consumption. I would bet on 20 to 25 amp hours / 24 hour period. I just installed mine on my sailboat last week. I am using a 100 watt flexible solar panel and my batteries are topped off after just three hours of sunlight in the morning. My panel can produce about 5 and 1/2 amps

Answer:	Hi there, in the standby status, long press “+” and “-“ button at the same time for 3 seconds can enter Advanced Setting, When the Advanced setting comes up, short press “ON/OFF” button to cycle into pro mode (battery protection), or F/C function (Celsius Fahrenheit switch mode). With battery protection mode, short press “+” or “-” can set the selected the parameters. :)
Question:	Mine has been working fine but suddenly it won't go below 26-30° and I have it set at -4°. Any way I can fix this
Answer:	Does the compressor keep runing at that temp? If it does then something with the compressor itself like low refrigerant . I've had mine a month set at 0°F it cycles on at 5°F then turns off at 0°F after a min or so the temp will usually drop to -01°F . If its full or at least partial full with frozen or refrigerated food it will maintain temp better as to being empty

Question:	Can I leave this plugged into my car for 5 hours without killing the battery? Half way between the 5 hours I can turn the car on for 5-10 minutes
Answer:	Most vehicle alternators charge at a higher rate when first started to compensate for the initial drain when starting. I believe there is a technical term here. The voltage regulator usually reads the battery’s voltage and turns on the charging function to top off, if you will, the battery. If you do run the engine for 10 minutes, of course the alternator will recharge the battery. I would ensure the headlights were turned off as well. Just as an extra measure. If you were interested manning on running the refrigerator for an extended period of time like for several weeks while at an Rv Park, then I would either put the 110v AC line to the Rv or at least a battery maintainer/charger on the battery if in an automobile without AC. We his is a small enough device that if you are mindful of what you are doing you should be okay. Just don’t start off using a weak battery to begin with.

Question:	From what I see in the reviews it seems that there is a problem with the cord getting to hot and the tip of it melting.Is there a better quality cord
Answer:	I've had no issues with the cord attached to the cooler itself but I did have an issue with the Schumacher PC-6 120AC to 6A 12V DC Power Converter that I purchased for indoor use. It ran hot and in less than 6 months it died (Amazon graciously allowed me to return it and gave me a full refund). I replaced it with a Wagan 5 Amp AC to 12V DC Power Adapter. While it gets a little warm, it runs much cooler than with the Schumacher adapter. In fact, the Igloo runs quieter and appears to be more efficient with this adapter. That said I think the power source may be the root cause of the issues that others may have with overheating/melting. I run my cooler inside, all day, everyday as it serves as my office refrigerator and I've had it since last November. I love it and will buy another on the sad day planned obsolescence kicks in.
Question:	Why is the larger unit cheaper than the smaller unit
Answer:	Really don't know but I found out that the larger one keeps cooler much longer and at a lower degree.
