We have quite nice well water here, and I can't stand any off tasting city water, bad bottled water, etc. I was prepared to go through a whole process to get any residual plastic taste out of this bag, but I found that it was completely unnecessary. I washed the bag thoroughly, along with the tubing and the valves, with warm soapy water just once. There was absolutely no off taste to to the water. Hope this helps. |

| Answer: | I have been thinking the same thing. The baffle in the middle of the water bladder should prevent excessive splashing. I use utimate direction hip packs now for last 3 years. The ud old model had a built in front pouch that holds a 9mm pistol nicely. Having a front pouch helps balance out the weight of the water in back. The belt probably would work but may need to be a little wider so it doesnt ride up or bounce on runs. I run 3x 4mile runs a week. Hey running companies, where is the proper hip pack that holds the osprey 1.5L bladder and even a larger one? I like to run with my shirt off with to backpack. |

| Answer: | I don't think so. I bought one but returned it for the Daylight Plus, which does have a laptop pocket that holds my 15.6" Dell in it's sleeve. I purchased the 2.5 liter Osprey hydration unit separately as there is a pocket for that as well. End result is a great 20L daypack. |

| Answer: | It says the 18 does not. And I do not see the loops or compression straps. Kinda a bummer. The 22 is harder to find. |
