User questions & answers
Question: | Does this fit a Wrangler JL |
Answer: | Product did not work very well for what i wanted bracket to do |
Question: | Does this have a ski/snowboard carrier attachment |
Answer: | I don’t have a motion sensor, but I do have 35s (315 70R17) and this lifts the spare about 2” off of the bumper. It adds very little in terms of thickness keeping the spare pretty tight to the tailgate as well. |
Question: | This says hitch rack, but I believe it is the spare-mounted rack, correct |
Answer: | It gives more than enough clearance for that size tire. That’s what I’m running. The wheel should be fine as well since it’s behind the carrier and doesn’t change how it mounts to the jeep. |
Question: | Will this fit an ford e350 spare tire? tire size lt225/75r16 - has 8 holes and i'm concerned it won't fit |
Answer: | It will, however you will not be able to open the tailgate all the way without an extension. |
Question: | For the people who have the jeep with proximity sensors, did you buy the 10526 model |
Answer: | Yes that’s what I use, Also if I May add everyone who sees it comments on it |
Question: | Having issue with Spare sitting on bumper and also motion sensor beeping continuously when in reverse. 35x12.50x22, will this fix issue |
Answer: | I think you would need to purchase this separately. |
Question: | Dose this bracket give a clearance for 315/70r70 (35x12.7x17) mounted on stock (oem) wheel (without wheel offset |
Answer: | Yes they do rotate. I usually position the ones I don't need down when trying to load the bikes. For what it's worth, the rack has worked great so far. In particular the swing down feature of the bar giving access to the trunk is key. I only have 2 comments / small critiques. One, the cradles you use frequently become loose rather quickly so they don't stay in the up position. I have to rest the bike on the bar and adjust the cradles each time. Small thing. Second, once the cradles become loose the whole bike shifts a lot with the wind. You'll probably want to secure them with bungie cords especially for longer drives. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What prevents the entire assembly from rotating off the base plate? Does the top portion bolt to the base plate |
Answer: | The base plate is attached to the roof rack underside. The J-hook hooks into the loop in the base plate, goes through the rim then through the top plate. Giant "wing nut" screws onto the J-hook and locks to the top plate with a padlock. I added a cable around the whole setup for extra security. |
Question: | What are the dimensions of the rack? Description states inches 5X.79x12 but that can’t be correct |
Answer: | The plate is a 5” W x 12” L it’s just a plate with a loop welded on for the tire hook to clip on |
Question: | Does this attach through a lug nut hole and a nut screws on top to secure it? Can u put a tire cover over it when attached/secured |
Answer: | It attaches to the tire via the hub, not a lug nut. This also centers the tire a little bit over the bracket. If a tire cover can be used depends on the width of the tire and wheel. I have it on my 09 Rubicon and the tires and wheels are wide enough so that the screw is below the tire edge. |
Question: | What are the distances of the mounting holes in the mounting plate |
Answer: | The mounting plate has four holes in a rectangular pattern. The holes on the long edge are 11" apart (center to center) and 2 5/8" apart on the shorter edge. |

Question: | How does one get a bike on this, what parts are people using |

Question: | Does this come with the roof racks, or does that need to be purchased seperately? (Does this come with everything for use out of the box |
Answer: | It comes with clamps to secure it to the cross bars on your car's factory roof rack or a roof rack you add to your car. It also comes with a cargo net. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will these fit a Yakima highland top rack bike rack |
Answer: | I am not familiar with a highland rack bike rack. We purchased the straps for our Yakima bike rack because it came with straps to fit around a average tire width. They were what we needed to secure the larger tire. |
Question: | Will theses work for deeper carbon aero wheels |
Answer: | YES, they are quite LONG. Comparable in LENGTH and GIRTH of legends like JOHN HOLMES, PETER NORTH, & TOM BYRON. |
Question: | Will this work with the Yakima Forklift rack |
Answer: | The extended wheelstrap - part# 8880229 - is intended for the forklift. the design of the fat straps should work with the forklift as well. |
Question: | Will this fit the frontloader to accomodate plus tires |
Answer: | I looked into it for you and I think it would fit. I sell Yakima bike racks at my store. My only concern is your front tire going to fit in the front uprights. But I also have to say the frontloader is not made for a fat bike. But good luck! |

User questions & answers
Question: | I have a Toyota Tacoma which has the cargo management rails, do these include that hardware to mount inside the rails |
Answer: | No They don't mount to the rails. I was lucky enough to have extra rail brackets from a Trac Rac Rack system I had that I used. |
Question: | Does this work with through axles |
Answer: | You would need to add a through axle adapter in order to use this with your through axle bike. |
Question: | Can i get the lock with an specific key? Like an A169 type of key |
Answer: | Unfortunately getting a specific key is not an option for this product but you can buy different locking cores that all have the same key depending on how many you need. |
Question: | Do you bolt into the truck bed? Will the mess up the bed and cause rust |
Answer: | What I did, was cut a 2x4 to the width of my Ford F150 bed, there are indents in the side that let the 2x4 slide in. I then bolted the BlockHeads into the 2x4 (I did two) and it worked perfectly. Two bikes in the bed with all sorts of gear also in the bed. The best part, is when the fun was over I could store the 2x4 for the next trip and use my whole truck bed as I normally would. This doesn't compromise the bed, and nothing rusts. Hope this helps. |

Question: | Will this fit 4" tire? Yakima website says so, but not here in the specifications |
Answer: | I am sorry, I do not see the chart. Try to find out from the manufacture or seller of your kayak what size you need. Also, I purchased different sizes to see what will work for a kayak but our kayak does not work with this type so go to the seller or brand web site of the kayak you have to see what size & what type you need. Hope this info helps you. |

Product features
ROOFTOP MOUNT - FORK MOUNT
Fork mounts make it easy to load and unload your bike and require you to remove the front wheel (which can be stored in your vehicle or on the roof with a wheel fork).
ROOFTOP MOUNT - WHEEL-ON MOUNT
Wheel-on mounts allow you to load and unload your bike fully assembled, meaning it’s ready to go as soon as you get to the trail.
HITCH MOUNT - HANGING TILT RACK
Hanging racks tilt or swing out of the way to access your vehicle’s trunk or hatch. They’re great options for carrying multiple bikes (fit up to 5 bikes), but be aware of the type of bike - anything without traditional geometry may need a top tube adapter.
HITCH MOUNT - TRAY RACK
Tray racks can carry virtually any type of bike (and fit up 2 bikes or 4 with an extension). They offer more spacing between bikes to minimize interference and can either tilt or swing (with an adapter) out of the way while loaded.
