Question:	How do the j rack set on the rack, both kayaks set in or out
Answer:	You get two of these in each box. You will need to order two sets. If you are hauling two kayaks or two boards. Be aware that the profile of the clamps on these "J-bar Racks" are for a crossbar that is more round or square in shape versus flat and oval as are my crossbars on my Rav4. They would clamp real well on a crossbar that was 1-1-1/2 inch round or square.
Question:	Need to know how wide a load bar the racks will accommodate (distance between the bolts that hold the rack to the load bar) or if anyone has mounted them successfully to a Taurus GL wagon factory rack
Answer:	Well both really. There are 6 bolts in total that drop through each assembly. The outer 4 have nuts underneath, and they join the two U-bars with the main assembly. The inner 2 bolts attach to a lower bracket that wraps around your roof rack. For disassembly from the roof rack, or adjustment, you just need to loosen the knobs - the other 4 bolts stay in place.I'll try to add some more photos to show the situation.

Answer:	As long as your rack is not flush with your vehicle, I think it should work. The bolts that keep the J rack in place have to be tightened from underneath.

Answer:	Fits both although to be honest it would fit the square and wing shape better than the round. We switch back and forth between our round yakima cross bars and the square cross bars on our Honda Odyssey. On the yakima cross bars they have a tendency to "spin" right or left and not stay upright when sliding a boat on. On our flat/square cross bars we don't have this problem. Not sure how they'd fit on Thule because I don't own that system.

Answer:	Not all bikes have the screw holes. I recently purchased a 26" frame women Fuji bike same problem no screw holes. The work around is to purchase the bracket that attaches to the bike seat, the bracket has an upside down "U" shape it has holes in it on each side you would attach 2 water bottle cages to it one on each side. 1) you will need the vertical space for the "U" fixture and the water bottle cage.

Question:	I've read that the strap for the seat post damages the paint on your bike. Is there anything that can be done, rubber gasket, that can prevent this
Answer:	I haven't had this problem. The plastic that wraps around the seat post is similar or identical to those straps you see on good bike racks that sit on the trunks of cars. If you are concerned about wear on the seat post, you could easily put in a thin gasket or even a bit of cloth. But when I've tightened the strap snugly, I've had no problems. This is a very simple, effective, cool device.
Question:	How long is threaded spacer rod? Does it fit on a normal flat bed with just under 2" lip
Answer:	I think the threaded part of the rod is 4"-5" long. I use this rack on a Silverado pickup with a short bed and there is plenty of stand-off for clearance for the bicycle. This is a quality unit and very simple to use. You won't be disappointed with this product. Good luck

Answer:	I think it would. If you get the clamps tight and place them where you can cinch the straps tight to the bike frame, so you have no wiggle or loose movement from bike itself. I secure Townee’s, not nearly 50 lbs. but it sure holds them tight. And push front wheel against forward bed wall. In my opinion, don’t allow bike any slack to move, maybe a back wheel chock also. Answer:	I have the 2006 tacoma with the rails that have handles that slide up and down the rails. These grippers are attached to the handles because they sent me the ones for the non tacoma. If you can grab your hand around the rails they may work. You only have about two inches of depth before you hit the back of the grip. They are just like clamps in woodworking that have to grab the rails.

Answer:	I don't see any specific listing of the type of plastic, and there isn't one in the product description (the Amazon listed material type is cotton, which is wrong unless it's meant to indicate a cotton-derived bioplastic or is a composite with cotton fibers, but I suspect it's just wrong; the product itself is one of at least a dozen different brandings of what appear to be identical products - it looks like there's a single generic Chinese manufacturer whose products are sold under multiple brands, so I wasn't able to find extensive info when I bought the product as I don't speak Mandarin or read Hanzi). That said, I haven't noticed any structural material degradation after a year and a half of daily riding, nor any bleaching nor milky appearance on the always-exposed surfaces (like the top of the cups at the end of the arms), so it might well be UV-resistant.

Answer:	You are good they just did not take their design one step further. The pin they included is your hitch pin. You have to shim the anti lock system inside the hitch solidly in place. Then slide the hitch into the receiver and carefully insert the hitch pin. They should have tack welded the anti tilt device inside the hitch. Once you get past that it’s a nice carrier. FYI the anti tilt is not needed but a nice to have.

Answer:	This rack is perfect for catching mice, but I think you’ll find better use in training your cat. Put this thing in an open space and start your cat on some basic agility drills. After they’ve mastered the drills on the ground lean the rack up against a wall and continue having your cat practice climbing. While the cat is practicing climbing you need to throw things at the cat. I found that water bottles, shoes, and soap work best. The reason for this is mice climb walls, so your cat needs to practice climbing. Sometimes your cat will encounter situations where it could fall off a wall while chasing the mice; throwing things at the cat will help it be better prepared for situations where it could fall off. Answer:	I can't say for sure about the RAV but I have a Jeep with exterior spare tire and it clears without any problem.

Answer:	Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, we are not able to know if you can open the side-open tailgate with the Chinook installed. You would need to compare the dimensions of the rack to your vehicle specifications, which can be found on our website.
Question:	Can I use it for Toyota Camry
Answer:	As long as you have a hitch that accommodates the specification of the Swagman Chinook Bicycle Carrier, I believe you can use it on any car.

Question:	what is the pin size
Answer:	The hole on the rack for the hitch pin is 1/2". This is designed to work with the No Wobble Bolt that is included with the rack. This bolt works to securely tighten the rack when installed on the vehicle and keeps the rack from moving during use.
Question:	how do you put a womens bike on this rack
Answer:	The brackets that the straps are attached to rotate around the rack arms, making it fairly easy once you figure out the best position. I actually had 3 women's bikes on the rack with no problems. The straps were on the diagonal bar and the vertical bar below the seat and it was very tight, no movement at all. No issues with women's bikes at all here.
Question:	What's the best way to lock bikes to this rack? I've never used a hitch rack before
Answer:	If you are talking about leaving the bikes, we purchased the doberman lock and secured the bikes and lock to the straight pole on back, we have two to interweave between the bike wheels and the pole. We also brought a locking pin for the hitch. Never had a problem, we have left them on there while down the shore, on bike trails while we walk or go to get something to eat.
Question:	What's the distance between the two carry arms (the ends of the arms
Answer:	On the current version (2016 and newer) hitch racks, the carry arms are 11.5" apart on center. This translates to an outside dimension of approximately 13"

Deluxe Quick Install Locking Hitch Rack

Answer:	We are able to fit 2 sets of sea wings on our rack on our Nissan Murano no problem. Two full size sit on top kayaks fit as well.
Question:	I have a 90 lb 35" wide Lifetime Beacon kayak. Will this rack system work
Answer:	Hi Katie, Your kayak will fit but you need to be aware of a few things... For reference, I have a 12 ft Perception Pescador Pro. 34" wide and about 75 lbs and fairly flat on the bottom. The sea wing holds it fine but when loading, you need to be cognizant of the fact that as wide as your yak is, it isn't going to "nestle" down into the V of the wing like a narrow one would. It simply means that you will be making sure the yak doesn't slide off to the side when loading. Once it's centered on the wings, its secure as Fort Knox. Because it mounts in the center of eth V, I can carry two wide yaks on my camper shell-mounted racks since the yaks can hang over the side of the truck slightly. Ultimately, even with the small issue loading (and its nots really a PITA), the sea wings serve me well. I never worry about my rigs once strapped down.

Answer:	Brackets are 2-3/8" I.D.,I have the largest tire available for 29ers and are a perfect fit.I place one bracket on each corner of my 60"X24"turned out away from cargo carrier, and transport two 29er bikes.I turn handlebars on bike close to vehicle for clearance.These brackets should work fine for all standard bikes,with the exception of the new "FAT" bikes equipped with 4" wide tires.I did however purchase 1/8" metal to re-enforce floor of my carrier,as it is an aluminum unit.Brackets are well made and strong.
Question:	Is this price for the platform & the racks
Answer:	The CC-125 Cargo Caddy Bike Rack Adapter does NOT include the platform. The platform must be puchased separately.
Question:	How wide of tires will fit on this rack
Answer:	Our bikes have 26 x 2.10 tires, and fit very well. I don't know if anything wider than that would fit.
Question:	I have an adult tricycle and am looking for a bike rack or caddy to attach to the back of my RV, would this bike rack accommodate an adult tricycle
Answer:	This single photo might be misleading, as it does not show the product by itself. What you get are the attachments that look similar to u-bolts. If you look closely at the back of the front tire, and the front of the back tire, you see the product. The cargo caddy (the big platform that attaches to your receiver) is not included. However, if you purchase this product and a cargo caddy, this might be a very good option for you. The key question is how wide is your bike, specifically the distance between the outside edges of your rear wheels? If you can find a caddy that will accommodate that width you may be good to go. However, you may still not have enough room to use this product on the rear wheels. You could use it on the front wheel, and use a strap to hold the rear down. If it were me, I'd use a strap to hold the front and a strap to hold the rear, and forgo using this product altogether since your tricycle will stand on its own. This product is best used for holding two-wheel bikes vertically. I highly recommend it for two-wheel bikes.
