Answer:	Some people are suggesting locking the bike to the car with a cable. It should be noted that ANY cable, even the thickest and most secure ones on the market, can be cut in seconds. A cable of any type is, at best, a deterrent to the casual thief. A serious thief loves cables because they are so easily cut. If you have an expensive bike, the only option worth considering is a U-bolt type of lock. Simply remove your bike from the car rack and lock it to a post. Even U-bolts can be defeated but the time and tools required will send all but the most determined thief looking for easier prey, like a bike with a cable.

Answer:	This rack (or any strap mounted carrier) should not be used on the Volvo XC models. The issue is that the top of the rear door on the XC's is made of extremely brittle fiberglass that can crack if anything (i.e. metal hooks or bike rack straps) is placed in the seem at the top of the rear door. We would recommend installing a receiver hitch on your vehicle and using a hitch mounted carrier.

Question:	does it includes the rear suckers, or I have to buy them apart
Answer:	Mine included two additional suckers for the back tires, but none for the front tires as one other person answered. So, you get the main one for mounting the front of the bike, and two other suckers with Velcro straps to mount the back tires. I put the front tires in my trunk.
Question:	Will this work if I have hail damage on the car
Answer:	The four suction cups can go on the top of your windshield. For the back cups, you will need an 8" diameter space for each back bike tire cup. You would need a clear undamaged perimeter but you could live with dents inside that perimeter
Question:	Mentions 210lbs pull strength but max 45lbs bike. Which one is it? Would it work for 70lbs electric cargo bike
Answer:	Yes! It should work just fine, I have had two thirty lbs bikes on the roof of my 2018 Kia Soul, ten pounds shouldn't make a difference. You can preposition one of the mounts to the center without any other parts for better weight adjustment. which would be recommended just remember to wet the suction cups and clean the surface before vacuuming down!
Question:	Is it ok to mount them on the moon roof like the ones in the attached pictures
Answer:	I can't see your pictures, but I would think it likely that it might be tough to position the sucker so as to avoid having any of the suction cups on the edge of the moon roof section; that would not make for a good seal by the cup. I'd position the sucker on the roof forward of the moon roof if there is space, or at the top of the windshield.

About Allen Bike Racks

In 1967, after a few years of working on the aerospace technology for the Apollo missions, Dick Allen was out of a job. Government cutbacks led Allen, a Harvard-trained physicist, to transform his garage hobby into a new industry. A cycling enthusiast, inventor, and family man, Allen had a personal need for a bike-carrying device. On weekends, he would take his sons and wife to Cape Cod or the White Mountains of New Hampshire. What proved difficult time and again was the transport of his family's bicycles. Rather than fight through inconvenience with twine and a dinged car, Allen sought an answer for himself as well as a market in which he foresaw major growth possibilities.

Always a pathfinder, Allen took to work in his Lincoln, Massachusetts, garage in search of a more efficient way to transport bikes. Drafting designs during the day and constructing them throughout the night, he put together a model made of electrical conduit, metal strapping, and fire hose casings (for padding). At first, the Allens tested the prototype on weekend excursions. Finding the first trunk-mounted rack to be a success, Dick started Allen Bike Racks. Dealer acceptance came quickly, and by 1971 Allen Bike Racks were sold nationally through a number of major bicycle distributors. Today, the company owns more than three dozen patents and offers a versatile product line of bike racks while Dick's son Alex now owns and operates the business. What started out as a small garage run operation now operates three warehouses nationally, two factories abroad, and has products sold in more than a dozen countries around the world.

Question:	my husband said it wont fit cause i have a girls bike and it wont fit his bike cause they are both cruisers w/o a solid straight bar
Answer:	Nate, I can’t really answer which filter is better as that is a matter of opinion but according to the Brita site, the water bottle filters are effective in removing chlorine taste and odor as well as filtering class VI particulates. Class VI particulates are >50 microns in size. Hope this helps.
Question:	Does it fold
Answer:	It doesn't have an exact expiration date. However, I bought this for my 13 yr old daughter. She drinks alot of room temperature water. (I'd say minimum of 6 bottles per day if not more) Because she drinks so much, I replace her filter every 45 days. I think it depends on how much water u think you'd drink daily. On average it can be used about 3 months before being changed out. I hope this helps!

Answer:	HelpyHook is recommended for drywall only. We do not recommend HelpyHook for grout, cement walls, wood panels, old plaster walls or other walls that may be harder.

Answer:	When fixed on the drywall, the rear surface should be flush with the wall. The hook typically projects approximately 1/4" (more or less) from the wall depending on how firmly it is fixed to the wall, angle at it which it is pushed into the wall and the smoothness of the wall surface.
