Answer:	For me the cover has been completely waterproof. My bike has sat outside 24/7 on a patio with the cover since May 10 th. The cover has been through rain and snow. Yes I did say snow. Last night there was a thunderstorm with hail. This morning I went outside lifted up the cover and the bike was dry. Even though the outer part of the cover is wet mainly on the sides near the bottom the cover underneath was completely dry. The material seems to repel the water . The top of the cover wasn’t wet , no pooling, just the sides of the cover still had some rain drops on. The bike does have a little protection from the roof overhang but the cover still gets rained on. I have been completely satisfied. I hope this helps.

Question:	I have a thule insta-gater bike rack in my pick up that i use to haul my large mtn bike. will this work for a traveling cover at highway speed
Answer:	I don't know exactly what kind of bike rack this is that you have, but I can tell you what the cover is like. I have the XL size for my hybrid diamonback bike, and it fits it well with plenty of room to spare. The bottom of the cover does have a velcro strap to secure under the bike so it doesn't blow off, but you might have to get more creative to strap it on securely for a road trip. The only other issue you may have is folding it around or over parts of the bike rack. Again, if you are creative, I think you could make it work. It's a great cover.

It has an interlocking weave which gives it a distinct raised box pattern on the fabric and it’s because of this weave that it’s difficult to tear - if a material does not have this raised pattern then it's not Ripstop! Question:	Will this keep my bike from rusting on my covered patio? I live near beach
Answer:	I don’t think so. Our heating plate wasn’t arriving until a few hours after we brought our day old chicks home so I ordered the heating pad to use in the meantime. We also had our heat turned up and they were chirping like crazy and not very happy. After we added the heating plate (made by rentacoop) they were much quieter. We still have the pad in by their food and water but they go under the plate to sleep and whenever they get cold. I don’t think it’s sufficient heat for such babies at least at first.

Answer:	Thank you so much for asking. Yes, we've done several things to address the feedback we've gotten on adhesive. First, through the feedback we've received, we were able to identify a manufacturing defect that has impacted a couple of of our products. This issue has since been corrected and any customer who has reported an issue with a product from one of the defective lot numbers has had their product replaced. Second, we made a recent change to increase the strength of the adhesive which should improve this in the future. That said, by design our adhesive is still a bit less sticky than some other products out there so that it does not leave any residue. So, there is still an element of personal preference involved.

Answer:	Yes, I have one under my hedgehog's hut and another under her wheel. This is the exact same product as the k&h small animal heat pad. I verified they are the same with the manufacturer. With the hut, leave part of the hut off the pad so the hedgehog can have a cooler spot in the hut in case she gets too warm. My hedgehog's breeder recommends these pads.
Question:	How large is the circumference of the bike lock channel? Would a chain lock fit through
Answer:	5 gallons would weigh about 40 pounds. I am not sure it is designed to bear this much constant weight. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer (they are very helpful and responsive), to be sure there is no safety issue.

Answer:	This covers 2-3 regular bikes well so I would think it would fit.
Question:	I was thinking about mounting my bike on the front of my van. Do you think it would hold up at highway speeds
Answer:	This did not hold up for us as we traveled on the highway. A two day trip ripped it up. Worse, the gray paint interior rubbed off on the bikes and seats and it will not come off. Like the size and fit, but ultimate it was a one use for us as it is too damaged to reuse. I will go without next time.

Answer:	No. This is a fabric. Though it has two grommeted holes, anyone with a scissors or pocket knife can remove it. Your bikes would be more secure if you first twine a cable lock through the frames and spokes and fasten the cable together with a lock. THEN put the bike cover over the bikes and secure with bungees. The cover itself is not, I think, designed to provide any level of security, only protection from the weather.

Answer:	Yes, it comes with 2 grommets to secure and lock it up. While in transport, my grommets ripped out, so I would necessarily recommend this particular cover. It only lasted a 7 hour trip, one way.

Answer:	The key is preventing flapping/movement, any fabric that flaps in the wind long enough will come apart, the more flapping you can prevent, the longer it will last. I would use the provided straps as well as wrap some string tightly all around it, make sure that fabric is nice and tight.

Answer:	I would go with the Large size. The cover I purchased was a tight fit. Especially with the pedals pushing outward on the sides.

Answer:	It would depend on how it was attached in the back. It does stretch over the gears and pedals.

Answer:	The wheel size should be okay. It’s the length of the bicycle. MTN bikes generally have a longer wheelbase than a racing roadbike. My son uses his cover on a gravel bike with 650B wheels and a slightly longer wheelbase than a road bike. The covers do stretch but honestly I haven’t tried them in a MTN bike.
Question:	Would this fit a 54cm road bike
Answer:	Yeah it will. But it’s not as easy as it all looks. Things I encountered were things I hadn’t thought of so I’ll save you the hassle. When you slip that material on the wheels, you kind of have to keep the wheel from spinning and not getting it caught in the chain around the cranks and the rear cassette. Another thing is that your handlebars are going to be pulled left or right once you get that cover on. It has to be perfect for it line up straight. All in all, I wasn’t impressed and won’t use it. If you’re looking for something I use, look in spandex tablecloths. Basically you dress up a big folding table with this sleek black Lycra. I drape one over the saddle and then there’s plenty of material to get over the handlebars and at least half of the front wheel. Stretch the rest backwards and it will most of the rear wheel but definitely the rear der. I use this trick when I have my bikes mounted inside my car. It helps break up the silhouette so you can’t really tell there’s two nice road bikes inside.

Answer:	It depends how you position the pad on the tailgate but it covers my tailgate on a 2012 Tacoma with the Velcro bands that hold the bikes positioned mostly in the tailgate. It does a great job covering the tailgate!
