Answer:	The hole on the rack for the hitch pin is 1/2". This is designed to work with the No Wobble Bolt that is included with the rack. This bolt works to securely tighten the rack when installed on the vehicle and keeps the rack from moving during use.

Answer:	The brackets that the straps are attached to rotate around the rack arms, making it fairly easy once you figure out the best position. I actually had 3 women's bikes on the rack with no problems. The straps were on the diagonal bar and the vertical bar below the seat and it was very tight, no movement at all. No issues with women's bikes at all here.

Answer:	If you are talking about leaving the bikes, we purchased the doberman lock and secured the bikes and lock to the straight pole on back, we have two to interweave between the bike wheels and the pole. We also brought a locking pin for the hitch. Never had a problem, we have left them on there while down the shore, on bike trails while we walk or go to get something to eat.

Answer:	Some people are suggesting locking the bike to the car with a cable. It should be noted that ANY cable, even the thickest and most secure ones on the market, can be cut in seconds. A cable of any type is, at best, a deterrent to the casual thief. A serious thief loves cables because they are so easily cut. If you have an expensive bike, the only option worth considering is a U-bolt type of lock. Simply remove your bike from the car rack and lock it to a post. Even U-bolts can be defeated but the time and tools required will send all but the most determined thief looking for easier prey, like a bike with a cable.

Answer:	This rack (or any strap mounted carrier) should not be used on the Volvo XC models. The issue is that the top of the rear door on the XC's is made of extremely brittle fiberglass that can crack if anything (i.e. metal hooks or bike rack straps) is placed in the seem at the top of the rear door. We would recommend installing a receiver hitch on your vehicle and using a hitch mounted carrier.

It has the locking mechanism on it that is supposed to expand and keep it from wobbling but I can't see it's doing that. Disappointed in that as it makes me feel like it's not entirely safe going down the street. Thought it would be easier to use because it says no tools required to put it on the hitch. Answer:	As others have mentioned - it WILL NOT wobble IF you use the wobble bolt that came with it and tighten it all the way. No Wobble. BUt I still am concerned and have a question: The wobble bolt nut has a nylon thread to keep it from coming loose. But nylon threaded nuts are not designed to take on and off. The nylon loses its bite. Well, I need to take it on and off often. What is the recommendation from Allen?

Question:	Anybody try this on a 2006 Ford Escape? I'm having trouble tightening the bottom strap
Answer:	Since no one has answered your question I'll take a shot at it. There may have a few causes for "... trouble tightening the bottom strap" assuming it means the rack is not snug, . Make sure the strap is threaded correctly through the buckle so it will grip, not slip when tightened and tie it off around the strap as further assurances it will not slip. The bottom strap may loosen up when the bike is put on the rack so either apply some downward force on the rack or put the bike on the rack before tightening the bottom strap.
Question:	Will this fit my 2019 Toyota Camry sedan
Answer:	Yes, as long it doesn’t have a foil. Go to Allen Sports web site look up theUltra Compact Folding 1 and it will show all vehicles that are compatible.
Question:	if my bike weighs a little more than 35lb, around 38lb for example, will the rack work? will the pedal scratch my car
Answer:	yes, I don't see the 3lbs as an issue at all. Install so the weight is evenly distributed. As far as the pedals, my bike does not scatch, the mount offsets the pedals.
Question:	Are there any scratches resulting from this bike rack? I see there are metal hooks that hook the top of the trunk and underneath the... car? Thank you
Answer:	The hooks are coated with a resin that seems like a semi-hard polyester. You can also put some electrical tape on them to soften the touch. I haven't had any scratching, but if I were driving my brand new $445,000 Lamborghini instead of my 10 year old $6000 Ford Escape, I might hesitate to use this rack.

Question:	How difficult is this rack to put together? Can it be done by a single person
Answer:	Yes - I just put it by myself 2 weeks ago. A few screws and you are set. The trick is figure out which side is the front tire of your bike which is the driver size for single tray version. It works either way but one is more convenient to put bike on over the other.
Question:	Does the front of the bike have to be attached to the arm? Can the back be attached instead
Answer:	No
Question:	Will this work on a Toyota Corolla
Answer:	Allen bicycle track rack should work on any 2” hitch receiver already installed on a vehicle. Please make sure you can install a hitch receiver on your Corolla first.

Question:	Will it hold all types of bike frames
Answer:	The hole on the rack for the hitch pin is 1/2". This is designed to work with the No Wobble Bolt that is included with the rack. This bolt works to securely tighten the rack when installed on the vehicle and keeps the rack from moving during use.
Question:	On a sedan, is the trunk space rendered useless when you use this ? Can you open close trunk as usual
Answer:	The brackets that the straps are attached to rotate around the rack arms, making it fairly easy once you figure out the best position. I actually had 3 women's bikes on the rack with no problems. The straps were on the diagonal bar and the vertical bar below the seat and it was very tight, no movement at all. No issues with women's bikes at all here.
Question:	Is there any sort of anti-theft device? Can someone just walk up and take it off if the car is parked
Answer:	If you are talking about leaving the bikes, we purchased the doberman lock and secured the bikes and lock to the straight pole on back, we have two to interweave between the bike wheels and the pole. We also brought a locking pin for the hitch. Never had a problem, we have left them on there while down the shore, on bike trails while we walk or go to get something to eat.
Question:	What kind of attachment do you need for a woman's bike
Answer:	On the current version (2016 and newer) hitch racks, the carry arms are 11.5" apart on center. This translates to an outside dimension of approximately 13"

Question:	Can this be used on toyota fj cruiser
Answer:	Bought this for my FJ cruiser. It fit and seemed to be securely on it. But the whole thing popped off the car while on the road, even with an additional lock on it. (It also covers the reverse sensor so the FJ alarm will trigger whenever backing up.) If you end up buying this, look at the flimsy clips that are suppose to hold onto the bottom of the back door. Even with the door closed, the FJ's doorframe will not help keep those little clips in place.
Question:	Does it fit on 2016 jeep wrangler
Answer:	It fits on the stock spare tire and at least up to a 33". I haven't tried it on a 35".

Answer:	Yes it works on Jeep Wranglers. I have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler, only thing I did different was instead of attaching the straps to the bumper I adjusted the bike rack to fit just to the spare tire in order to be able open the back.

Answer:	I have a thin cover on my tire, an elastic band one and it fit right over it with no problem. I have a 2005 Jeep Wrangler..

Answer:	Not with the bikes in the carrier, but if you don’t put the center post in, you can lowe the tailgate.

Question:	could it hold Radrover 4"fat electric bike
Answer:	If the 4” refers to the width of your tires, then no it won’t. I have a mountain bike with 2.65 tires and I either let the air out of the tires or force them in the tire cradle.
Question:	How easily does the fold down function work
Answer:	It looks like the latest iteration of the product (Sep, 2020) no longer offers the fold down feature.
