Answer:	It has a perforated rubber backing for gripping the floor, and is padded, so I have not had any major spills go all the way through to my floor. It The water tends to bead up on top and it has padding inside. If it were a substantial spill it may soak through.

Answer:	No. There is a separate product that works with Kestrel 123 series. The holder is too big to fit a Kestrel 2000 securely.
Question:	Can this item be temporarily rolled up for wrapping purposes? I plan to give as Christmas gifts
Answer:	It will link but I have no experience with it. I have the Sig Kilo2200 which is great for ranging. I dont feel I need to link. Take the range, input it to Kestrel, and fire. The Kestrel will link with Kilo2400, but I have not used it.
