Answer:	In my experience with the first version, not a ton. I wear a size 12 shoe, and if I put my lifters in there it's chewing up a good portion of the main bag. Also, again on the first version, there's no snap or tab to roll up the shoe tunnel when it's not in use so there's a big floppy hunk of nylon in there.

The 2.0 bag has several different colors to choose from and comes in either small (15") or medium (20") size. The most noticeable difference between the two bags is that the xms1553 does not have a "water-resistant bottom panel", nor does it have pegs/feet on the bottom of the bag to protect the bottom of the bag from scratches and being torn. The 2.0 has those features, which are great reinforcements. Other than that, the bags are very similar.
