Question:	I know very little about computers but i am assuming it will not run on a intel(r) hd graphics
Answer:	The current version of Home Designer will run on the Intel HD 5500 graphics. This meets our minimum system requirement as of December 2020.
Question:	Can i build a garage, then submit blueprints for permits with it as diy
Answer:	Whether you can submit your DWG's or not depends on the regulating/building authority where you live. Some jurisdictions require drawings from a registered engineer or architect. Others permit submission and will issue a permit to a DIY,er depending on the nature of the project. Generally okay as long as it meets certain requirements, such as it does not have a bathroom which would impact your sewer system etc.. This program will and can produce the drawings. I find it lacking in many ways, but...you get what you pay for. It is okay for the price.
Question:	Can you download on more than 1 device
Answer:	Yes, you can install Home Designer on multiple computers, but you can only have it actively running on one of your computer at a time. There is a simple process to switch between your computers either by clicking “Help>Manage License” in the software or using your Home Designer online account. Answer:	Click on "Plan" on the menu bar. To draw a wall, select "Create Walls". Place the cursor on your starting point. Click and hold as you move the cursor to your stopping point. Double click to finish the line. To draw a room, select "Create Room." Repeat the above instructions to the end of the first wall. Still holding the cursor down, click and change direction for the second wall. Still holding the cursor down, click and change direction for the third wall. The fourth wall will automatically be created. Double click when you reach the corner.

Question:	Can i import a pdf if a house design and make changes
Answer:	Yes, you can. You would have to have an Acrobat program that would allow you to erase, etc. You'd be better off changing in in the program and exporting as a PDF to give to a contractor, etc. You could save different versions of the file. I found this product to be difficult to use because it's not particularly compatible with Windows 10. You may also have to change your ATI video card, too, which I had to do. What is good about it is the 3D option wherein you can see the plans as a "blueprint aerial" or a 3D model. If you haven't used a graphic software before, i.e., other CAD/CAM software, Adobe graphic software, etc., there is a HUGE learning curve. Plan to spend ALOT of time. This isn't like drawing in a simple program like Word or Publisher. There are many variables and a VERY LARGE user's guide is included.

Question:	hardware requirements
Answer:	I don’t know about the paid version but the free version has other software attached to it that will convert your MS office files to the attached software rendering them useless unless you reconvert them yourself. I had to uninstall this program and the hidden software in order to use all my files again. Other than that the program is very user friendly but I’d rather have the headache from other programs not being so easy than to lose my files to hidden software.
Question:	Can you sketch a home from scratch with this program
Answer:	You buy a banjo strap that has clips on each end. Those clips attach to the pot of the banjo. It does not fit on the end or the neck like a guitar. If you google "putting a strap on a banjo" there are videos that will show how to do it. Very easy to do.
Question:	I downloaded it on a Mac not realizing its for Windows, can i transfer the license to another computer
Answer:	Hi there, ours came with a bridge and a couple of little tools for the banjo. Being a first time banjo owner we had to UTube how to out the bridge in, but success and we are thoroughly enjoying the banjo!

SMART MENUS:

LAYERS:

ASSOCIATIVE DIMENSIONS:

Associative dimensions will automatically update as you change the size of the object they are associated with. For example, if a radial dimension is associated with a circle, when you change the radius of the circle using the Info Box, the associated radial dimension is automatically updated to match the new radius.

2D ADOBE ILLUSTRATORWITH OPTION TO IMPORT AS UNDERLAY:

Adobe illustrator import filter has been added to DesignCAD. Users can import the Adobe Illustrator file as an underlay or simply its geometry.To the Right is an example of an Adobe Illustrator file imported in DesignCAD.

SUPPORT FOR SKETCHUP 2020:

DesignCAD now supports SketchUp 2020.

SUPPORT FOR AUTOCAD2020:

Support has been provided in DesignCAD to import or export the AutoCAD 2020 file formats (.dwg and .dxf). The users can import or export the above-mentioned formats in the latest versions. Note: The support for AutoCAD file formats was already present in DesignCAD. However, the code and relevant libraries needed to be updated to provide the support for AutoCAD 2020 Below is an image that shows a file that has been imported in DesignCAD 2020. The file format is .dwg and was designed in AutoCAD 2020 which is the latest to date.

BEST FIT LINE AND BEST FIT CIRCLE:

The new Best Fit Circle and Line tools allow the user to draw a circle that is best-fitted through 3 or more defined points, or a line through 2 or more points. Points can be extracted from a specified location or a specific object.

LINE DISTANCE TOOL:

The minimum distance between two non-parallel lines can now be calculated through the line distance tool. Previously, only the distance between two parallel lines was able to be calculated.

Answer:	This program does not take photos and make construction plans out of it. You have to create a plan first, which is pretty easy to do, and make any changes to it you want.
