Answer:	Carol. It works well. I'm assuming that you are computer literate & can follow instructions. Put the disc in and follow the instructions. It takes a long time as I used it twice & started the process late at night and leave it overnight. You will awake to a wipe of your hard drive. You shouldn't worry too much about a malfunction since what your goal is is to wipe your hard drive, so you can always start over. I don't know what operating system you have but I would make sure I have an installation disc before I did the wipe.

Question:	Can you boot up directly to the command prompt without using windows and can you recover deleted files using the command prompt only

Question:	if you wipe one hard drive, and a cloud might still share elements in another hard drive, will the cloud data be affected
Answer:	I used WileDrive in 2014. I found it a lot easier than I thought it would be. It worked 100% perfectly and if I remember right I used it a second time before I sent my laptop off to it’s owner. The only reason I can think that it would not work correctly is that your laptop cannot handle something that requires it to erase itself. If you are just trying to get rid of it and aren’t going to give it away I would just take out the hard drive and bash it with a hammer. Hope this helps.

Answer:	It does give you some choices of areas to delete but I do not believe it lets you choose the recycling bin. It will let you wipe certain programs and partitions, however.

Answer:	When I ran this software it did not ask for the serial number of my drive you did need to know which drive you wanted to wipe such as drove C or what ever letter designation but that is all.

Answer:	I was able to use this product one time to remove everything except the OS. I did this because I was going to donate an old desktop to charity and of course didn't want any of my personal data to be still on the HD. It worked, but I chose the most secure means and it took 12-18 hours to complete. I tried to use it again to completely remove everything even the OS on an old laptop I was also going to donate and it just sat there and never finished. I guess it only works once, then they want you to buy another copy. At about $20USD that isn't so bad, but I hope to have used it at least twice. As to your question, I would say that it should do just want you want if you chose the option to remove everything including the OS if you have a new copy of the program. If you have already used the program once I doubt it will work again. That was my experience.

Question:	Will this work on old desktop computers
Answer:	This an amateur trying to answer. I can't see how the cloud data itself could be affected, however the cloud can no longer access the hard drive that you wiped.
Question:	Does it work on hard drives with no os
Answer:	I don't know. You have to start your computer from the this cd rather than its own operating system. If you can get your chromebook to start up from a thumb drive, I would try searching on Amazon or the internet for a disc-wiping usb device, or just googling "how can I wipe the RAM on my chromebook?" You could ask a computer nerd or professional but then you're probably getting into more money. Good luck.
Question:	will this software erase remapped sectors and hidden data
Answer:	I really don't know but suspect that it would work. You need to have a disc drive (not floppy disc) either in the computer or wired to it. If you are planning to get rid of the old machine, another solution would be to open up the case and just pound the heck out of the main drive with a good heavy hammer. Can't imagine that anyone would try to retrieve any data if you bang it up enough. Wear eye protection.
Question:	Does this delete the operating system
Answer:	Yes but don't use it if you don't have the system recovery disc. You'll need the disc to reload your computer. Without that disc you'll be up the creek without a paddle.

Question:	How many times can this be used? Multiple times on different computers
Answer:	I didn't work on my laptop. I don't know about old computers.
Question:	Does this software work from the windows OS? I need to reformat some external drives will this do that or is there another software package for that
Answer:	For me, it didn't work at all. I ended up taking my laptop to a neighbor kid who looked at the disk, laughed, did something on Google and got everything I wanted for free.
Question:	Will it shred only deleted files or everthing
Answer:	I am not sure as it did not work in my old desktop, so I returned the product. I emailed support and did not receive a timely response so I returned it. I went to Office Max and purchased Drive Scrubber, Drive scrubber worked well and it gives you the option that is US dept of Defense compliant where it wipes the data seven times. I took about 24 hours for this process but I wiped two old desktop pc's.
Question:	Can you use this if the computer crashed and won't go on

Question:	Is this a one-use product, or may it be used on multiple hard-drives
Answer:	Yes, it seems to have it's own operating system. It even says so. You can use this disk before the OS loads. I use it to sanitize my hard disk when ever my system either crashes or if it gets flaky for any reason. I now have two of these kinds of disks. All the best and happy computing!!
