Answer:	Windows Office will open any document no matter what version you have. It will usually open, and save in compatibility mode when you save. Your documents will open!

And you don't have to pay the renewal fee for THAT license;if you can find a better deal you can just get a brand new license each year as long as you do it before that one expires (I do that with Norton -- usually I can find a better price for a new license than opting to renew the one I have). I got a 5 user license for MS 365 from Amazon for $62. Purchasing the software would be at least $500+ -- I am not crazy about having to renew yearly but if you paid over $500 for it now, it might not be as useful in 5 years and I could not find a great price for buying it... So I just did it. First, I tried all the free and low cost alternatives to MS and after 6 months, I decided that MS was worth the price for me. If you don't need Outlook, you can usually buy a Home and Student version for much less. I wanted Outlook. Long answer, but no great cheap choices!
