Question:	Will this product drill through hardened steel? I'm tired of buying bits that say so but go through only mild steel
Answer:	66820 is a set with Mechanics length bits with tri-flat sides. They are shorter lengths vs the longer 44170 Jobber length w/o the tri-flat sides. Tri-flat sides prevent the bits from slipping in a drill chuck. We have seen this preferred in some cases and not by others. Depends on the user and application.
Question:	Can these be sharpened if they become dull
Answer:	The cutter wheel uses diamonds, so it will sharpen the bit. Follow the instructions on the Drill Doctor, and you will be fine.

Answer:	I would say no. To drill in concrete you need a carbide tipped drill designed for concrete. These would just not work.

Answer:	You have to account for the dimension of the insert itself. You will end up with a hole for the bolt size 5/16-18, but he insert that threads in is a 7/16-14 on the outside.

Question:	What is the OA length of the 1/2 inch drill bit
Answer:	Every bit is a different size. 1/64" increments to 1/2". The smaller bits do not sit in the container properly and tend to fall into the bottom.
Question:	What is the point angle? The description says 185 degrees, and elsewhere on the desctiption, 118 degrees. Which is correct
Answer:	They will work in wood but the exit hole will not be as clean as a set intended for multi purpose. It has to do with the degree of the cutting blade. The lower degree angle is better for clean holes in wood and the higher degree is better for hard metals and self starting holes in metal but will still drill through any wood.

Answer:	The warranty policy from champion cutting tools covers defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year. I've been using my set for about 4 - 6 months and no problems. Answer:	These drillbits do not step down, they are the same shank size as the hole they will drill. They also do not have flat spots upon the shank, such would be to keep the chuck from slipping around bit. They are a good bit set though...

Answer:	Sadly to say that it does not hold up to stainless steel. I am an Exterior Electrician and ordered a bunch of these for my guys to use out in the field. It did not work on our Exterior panels nor on our Transformers the first, second or third time. The bits gave out and dulled as soon as they started drilling. We ended up purchasing high end step-bits we've ordered before and they worked well. I did a trial with these bits and ended up short on the winning end.

Answer:	Absolutely, it can. However, if I were you I would attempt that job with a high tempered heat treated drill bit and a dab of cutting oil to preserve the bit. Good drilling to you and be safe please.

Question:	are these good for wood too
Answer:	The ones I got (C18125 / 1878) have what I believe is called a "triangular shank", where each bit has three flat sides machined into the round/cylindrical stock on the chuck end. That's for all the bits down to and including the 3/16" size. The ones smaller than that just have a "straight shank" (plain round/cylindrical).
Question:	How well do these cut stainless steel
Answer:	Not that I know of. It is nearly impossible to get a warranty with drills, taps, dies, etc. Cle- line may offer support directly, but I doubt it would be easy. They are very good bits, meant for those who are familiar with sharpening, and proper drilling. I believe home depot does carry this brand if individual replacements are needed.
