Question:	looking to see if these will cut good holes in glass blocks
Answer:	I used them to drill holes in Patron Bottles worked really well for that. Don't know how thick your glass blocks are but they are quality bits I would give them a try if it was me! I would put a piece of paper tape on area to be drilled to keep it from chipping and keep the glass wet! You should be fine.
Question:	Want to drill granite countertop that is 1 1/4 inches thick. The specs for this bit say it will drill 1" deep. How do I drill to the depth needed
Answer:	I don't think these drills will work, unless you can find some way to drill the last 1/4 from the other side and make the holes match. The drills have a habit of sliding until the hole is started. I drilled a same/size hole in a piece of wood and placed the wood hole where I wanted to drill. The wood held the bit in place until I got the hole started.
Question:	what is the shank size
Answer:	Not sure but it will fit in any standard 3/8 drill (about the size of a #2 pencil) You probably have one in the garage lol.

Answer:	I can't speak for the porcelain tiles, but I've used the bits for ceramic, glass, and a composite stone kitchen sink. Worked like a champ.

Answer:	ONLY water! I have used diamond drill bits for decades on glass, tile and stone. Although oil is an excellent lubricant it doesn't cool as well as water. The diamond dust used in drill bits and saw blades is mixed with a soft metal like tin, zinc and recently some alloys of aluminum. This is the grainy looking metal on the tip of the bit. The water prevents these metals from softening or melting by keeping the temperature below 200 degrees. Oils allow the tip temperature to climb to 400 or 500 degrees, the metal softens or melts, the diamond dust is lost and the bit is destroyed.

Never let your drill bit run dry. Electroplated diamond coating will wear off if the tool gets too hot. Here is how you could use water to keep the tool cool:

a- You can build a mini water pool around the hole with plumbers putty.

b- You can choose to spray water on the drill bit.

c- Or you can use running water to cool the drill bit.

EASY TO USE

Center pilot drill bits are for wood, metal, etc.; Here is how you can keep the drill bit on target:

a- You can make your own guide out of plywood - plastic or even a cardboard. All you need is to keep the drill bit in place until it makes the initial marks.

b- You can start drilling at an angle, with the edge of the drill bit making a C slot and then getting the drill bit up to vertical.

c- You can manually guide the drill bit with wet sponge.

Answer:	Unequivocally, no. This is for polishing something like a rock. It is far too fine a grit to do that. You are better off buying a diamond drill bit of the size hole you are looking to drill.

Question:	Can I drill thru ceramic pots
Answer:	Well number 1: I doubt that you had a 1.5 inch masonry bit. In any case, a masonry bit works best with a hammer drill. If you have a 1.5 dimond drill then you don't need a hammer drill, just a standard drill and water on the drill site. Most stucco coats are less than .5 in think and the diamond drill will work fine. These are good drills and handled correctly will last through many holes. D
