Answer:	it is just an extra in case your cat is extra frisky and trashes the original - what I did was take the extra and tie it to one of the little straps at the other end of the tunnel.

Answer:	It measures 10” in diameter. The cats are basically crawling through them or hide in them. They are not meant for the cat to stand up in. I would think unless your cat is extremely obese, he would have no problem. My cat is slim, but 12.5 lbs and long.

Answer:	Ha ha, no! Too big to fit into a washer. Also, tough as it is, it might become misshapen if you tried. I wouldn't recommend that, but it'd be fairly easy to hand wash.

My cat doesn’t stand real tall and has a muscular build 14lbs and he fits in it when he’s in his hunting position but it’s not big enough for him to just walk through. Hopefully this helps you some.

Answer:	Hi, The opening on mine is 11 1/2 inches. The two side holes are 6"x8". I have two cats: one is 15 lbs and the other is almost fully grown--10 months. She runs through it mainly cause she is still kittenish. He uses it more to tease her through the holes. He could go in there--size-wise--but he's not a playful cat. That being said, I still am happy to have it. I purchased a different one first--with three tunnels--but that is for kittens. This is good for a big cat.

Except one.- she doesn't easily fit through the side opening windows which are about 7"x5" but can fit if she wiggles a little 😋 I have 3 I connected together for my 3 cats. They have played in them every day since we got them. Great toys. They sleep in the tunnels too. They love them. But yes, your 15 pound kitty will fit😻☺️

Question:	Do the springs keep the tunnel open or does it collapse with cats playing in it
Answer:	The tunnel will stay fully expanded until you collapse it to store it. No issues at all with it staying open while kitties play.
Question:	Do people have a problem with the cats chewing the strings off? I'm concerned about my cats chewing one off and trying to swallow it. Thank you
Answer:	My cats are chewers and they were chewing on the strings, so I have cut them off. That being said I just ordered my 3rd tunnel because they love it so much! I ordered a similar tunnel but it didn't have the crinkle sound and they ignored it.
Question:	How can I encourage my cat to play with this tunnel? Thanks
Answer:	I don't think you'd have to encourage any cat to play in any tunnel. Maybe an older cat, that has grown sedate, might not show a great deal of interest but the normal cat will love it. Cats are hunters. What you and I see as "playing" is their practice for the real activity. They love to hide and pounce, which is why they love the tunnels. They also like to be up high, to look down and pounce. My cat drags her tunnel around the house to hide in. (Then she jumps out at me b/c she thinks she fooled me by hiding in it. I love my cat.)
Question:	Is the inside the material of a scratch post? Will it help with the cats scratching
Answer:	This will not help with your cats bad scratching habits. It is merely a crinkly sounding play area for your cat. My cat loves it as I am sure your cat will to. Kind of like how cats love boxes, they love playing inside these also. If you are having issues with a cat scratching woodwork, or other areas they should not be stretching their claws on, I highly recommend trying Cat Tape. It is a double sided tape to deter cats from scratching and works well, they do not like the sticky feeling of the tape on their paw pads. If it's something else such as a couch or chaur, I recommend using Anti Scratching spray designed to deter cat scratching. These alternatives are 1000 times better than having your poor kitties top knuckles cut off from their toes, I.e. having them declawed. If you give them things to use for scratching such as scratching boards, sisal rope posts, even actual pieces of a tree with the bark removed, they will not use furniture & such. Declawing a cat is just cruel. You can also try training them with a naughty cat spray bottle. There are many options.
