Answer:	The light's cord is 5.5 feet, the adapter's cord is 1 foot. I can always make special lengths.

Question:	How long should lamp be left on for parakeets
Answer:	I connected my light to a timer set 7:00-3:00. I also had a light cover covering one side of the cage if he wanted to rest in the shade. Not even in the wild do birds sit in the sun all day.

Answer:	It is really easy to put together. The wiring is already done.
Question:	Can this be used as a heat lamp for reptiles? Also what is the maximum amount of wattage it can hold
Answer:	For a reptile you will want a separate UVB bulb and heat bulb. This is a UVB bulb, it doesn't provide heat. With the little heat it might has, it's not even close enough suitable for a reptile. You will want a heat/basking bulb for your reptile :) This also shouldn't be used as a UVB bulb for reptiles, as reptiles and birds have different UVB/UVA requirements. The reptile UVB is too strong for birds- so this would be too weak for them, whether tropical or desert.
Question:	Would this lamp benefit cage free birds just being in their room? What's the radius of it's effectiveness
Answer:	The lamp is not omni-directional, so, it wouldn't benefit cage free birds unless they roosted under the lamp.

Answer:	Thank you for asking. We actually do not recommend using a smart plug. Sometimes electronics such as this which require power all the time to operate don’t work well with CFL or some LED products but it is dependent on how the plugs are wired inside. It is difficult for us to know about all the different products and wiring, therefore we simply cannot recommend their use with our products as it may result in shortened product life or performance issues. Answer:	25 pages which have check register forms on each side. Line spaces are large enough that you can put two checks on one line, for example if you forget a check and need to add it later. I love this check register and highly recommend it. I began using mine in October 2017 and it’s almost full now (July 2018). Plenty of spaces and pages! I have already bought my new one!

Birds need full sun or light from a Full Spectrum bulb. It is vital to their health. Without it, it can affect their bone density, the health of their feathers, and even lead to color blindness. But please: DO YOUR RESEARCH...! Not all artificial light bulbs are equal.

Answer:	My bulbs have not flickered and my bird seems fine with this light/ bulbs, not feather plucking and very happy. Bulb should not be placed too close to cage, especially when new bulb is used. My light has a type of shade on it so I can deflect light so it’s not glaring at my bird.
Question:	Would this work for red ear slider turtles for heat and light
Answer:	I think mine gets a little warm but not hot. My bird sits under it when it's only 10 inches over his head.

Question:	Fluorescent bulbs w magnetic ballasts create a flicker which is lube a strobe light to the bird, and can be stressful
Answer:	I bought the Zoo Med AvianSun Deluxe Floor Pet Lamp. I would check your silver clip on feature and make sure that it is at least 12" away from your bird... that is the recommended bulb height from your bird. I can tell you that if you've never used this bulb before you will notice a HUGE difference in the happiness of your bird, I noticed it right away with mine. My bird loves sitting under the light. I even have my bird cage sitting in front of a window... but on cloudy days the sun is shinning very bright and is depressing even to people. If your silver clip on feature has a regular light bulb socket then I would try, FeatherBrite 15 Watt Full-Spectrum Bulb or this one... they both have the regular light socket size screw in.
Question:	Do these bulbs get hot
Answer:	We're using this light for our Budgies (along with a thermostatly controlled heater) set on a timer of 12 hours per day. The bulb lasted us 4 years + 1 month. We're purchasing another since it has worked well and helped to keep our birds healthy.
Question:	Does the base of these lights fit into a normal floor lamp socket or does it need a special light fixture
Answer:	I'm not totally sure although I don't see why it wouldn't fit into any lamp because the bulb base is the same size as that of any other light bulb. It really should sit above the cage to avoid the bird from looking into the light. It can damage the bird's eyes (cause cataracts) if they look directly into the light too much. It is for that reason that I only use them with the Avian Sun Deluxe Floor Lamp. That is the only lamp that is high enough to reach over the top of my cages. Check with your vet. They should be able to answer for sure.
Question:	I bought a 220v avian sun deluxe floor lamp. will this bulb be suitable or is there a 220v option
Answer:	Nothing is different concerning the light. It can only be used for smaller birds because a hookbill would chew the wires and LED’s to pieces if it were in beak range.
Question:	Is there a special fixture I should use for this bulb and if so where can I get it? On Amazon?have one of those silver clip on fixtures. can use it

Answer:	This does not produce any UV. The current trend of manufacturers, vets and internet experts insisting on UVB is marketing hype and TERRIBLE advise. A bird's eyes are sensitive to UVB and long term exposure will cause cataracts and or blindness. No bulb on the market will simulate the sun or increase vitamin D3 in a bird. Question:	Would this bulb fit any lamp
Answer:	The output is 4 watts which is approximately 300 Lumens which is equivalent to a 30 Watt incandescent (old style) bulb or an 8 watt CFL bulb. The input power is 4 watts at 12VDC. This light is designed to be used on smaller canary cages "with dividers" that are stacked so that the light needs to be inside the cage If you are lighting an all wire cage around 24" - 30" long (with divider) it typically takes 2 lights (one on each side of the divider) to really light the cage. If you are lighting a Euro style cage with solid white sides. top and back, then only one light is needed as the white color reflects the light.
