Answer:	No that will cause mold. I use that dry food and I keep it in there for about three days or so before I dump it out. I also give them some fresh fruit or vegetables every night

Answer:	I hope not because I never do. We've had Kirby for more than three years now, and this is his favorite of his foods, but it didn't even occur to me to consider refrigerating it. So far so good?

Answer:	If left in the re-sealable package this food can be stored up to 6 months. In a hot and humid hermit crab habitat the food will spoil within 24 hours and needs to be changed out daily.

Answer:	No. I haven't had problems with the fishy smell. there are dried shrimp in it but just a few.
Question:	Does this need to be soaked in water before feeding like the shrimp we have used
Answer:	No, you don't soak it, I believe you just spray a little water on it to soften and make it easier to eat. If your humidity it high enough to "wet" it, that will work also. Good luck! Our two are doing well, one even buried itself to molt and it took a LONG 6weeks, but it is true, leave them be, they know what they're doing. Have fun.

Question:	What color should they be
Answer:	Not sure what color they should be. However, our can was all brown.

Answer:	I stuck mine in the fridge. Then I froze them on a layer on wax paper and stuck them in a freezer quart bag. I only have one hermit that can't eat this much.
Question:	How long should the shrimp be stored in the refrigerator after opening
Answer:	I kept it in the fridge for about a week--week and a half until I started to notice a change in smell. My crabbies don't eat as much right now, I think they're all hibernating currently, so I put mine in Ziploc bags and freeze them. I section them off about a dime size amount. Then when it's feeding time, I take one of them out, and place in the dish. It thaws and is generally the right amount for them to consume in a couple days. It helps preserve the shrimp longer. Even if they were all actively eating right now, I'll still freeze them so it doesn't go to waste. Hope this helps!! :)

Answer:	Mine came smashed to pieces and was pretty much dust so I don’t know how I would wet them unless it was to make a paste
