Answer:	Dried sphagnum moss is dead. Sometimes it turns green bc algae will live in the moss leaf spaces and make it look alive. sphagnum moss does not come back once it is dead. I grow sphagnum moss and growing sphag moss has a very different look than sphagnum filled w algae.

Answer:	Not sure about napenthes pitcher plant, but I used it to repot my orchids (along with bark, and some other media). The coconut husk helps keep the moisture, but at the same time drains well.
Question:	i soaked the coco husk. do i let it dry first? it seemed i had too much water, not sure how moist to leave it
Answer:	that depends on the humidity needs of your animal. In my climate, the child months are dry so I left it wet and mist it periodically. I also have arboreal animals that won't be sitting in wet substrate too. I'd squeeze it out in a towel (the color bleeds) or let it set out over night in a thin layer (cookie sheet?) It's easier to mist it wetter than dry it out once it's in the enclosure.
Question:	How much of this would I need for a 75 gal boa tank
Answer:	I have a 40 gallon tank and use 1 brick so I would suggest 2.

Answer:	This would be far too dry and if eaten can cause impaction (a blockage in the iguana's digestive system). "Proper humidity levels for Green Iguanas are relatively high, between 70% to 80%. Humidity that is not in the correct range can affect long term kidney function. Water bowls should be provided for a source of humidity and a place for soaking." "Suitable substrates include paper towels, brown wrapping paper, Astroturf, indoor/outdoor carpet, and alfalfa pellets. Lineoleum can also be used as long as it is glued down with safe glue. If you use Astroturf or indoor/outdoor carpet, be sure to have extra pieces so you can put a new one in while you are cleaning and disinfecting the old one. Answer:	If you want to control the temperature, you'll need to get a thermostat to attach it to. If you plug this in into a normal outlet, it'll just stay on indefinitely at around 95-100 degrees and warm up the area around it.

Answer:	I have some in a snail tank. From my experience it DOESNT grow, but stays the same under water. It will sink, not float if fully drenched. If you are looking for some stuff just to add here and there and do t expect it to grow, this will work

Answer:	No, not really. It is really puffy, it won't really lay flat like a carpet. There's an exo terra moss mat that may be more what you want. If you go that route, make sure it's the new version that almost looks like furry grass. The older version looks like doo-doo in person.

Answer:	Just to add: This moss does not come back to life. It will re-hydrate in water and look nice, but it will not start to grow again.

Question:	How many quarts of this to get 3 inches in my 5.5 gallon aquarium
Answer:	This 8 quart bag is a perfect fit!. Given a standard 5.5 gal tank is 17 L x 9 W x 11 H. If you want 3 inches, then change the height to 3. You need 17*9*3 = 459 cubic inches. 1 US quart is equal to 57.75 cubic inches, therefore you will require 459/57.75 = 7.94 quarts to fill your tank 3 inches.
Question:	Would this be a good substrate for isopods and roaches
Answer:	Yes, we use it for our Madagascar hissing cockroaches, and they are healthy and breeding prolifically.
Question:	Will this work well with bearded dragons
Answer:	Not if you feed them inside the enclosure and they like to dig. i wanted to see if this would work with a bearded dragon and a crested gecko but after closer examination I’ve determined it’s not good. The bearded dragon might eat some of it if you live feed them inside and if they’re laying eggs and digging it might get in their eyes and skin which would poke them. The terrarium has small splinters in it which would be dangerous for them. I used a bedding of shredded walnut or a green carpet from the repti brand for my bearded dragon I’ve found this to be more safe. For geckos this might would be good if you have a bedding of moss ontop just to keep high humidity and branches for them to climb. But as a bedding alone I wouldn’t risk the safety of my pets. Question:	Will plants grow in this substrate
Answer:	My plants are doing fine in my tortoise table. You may want to fertilize/feed them from time to time. My table is a closed habitat to keep humidity up for my baby tortoises so the substrate doesn't dry out often. When it does, though, I just dump more water in there.
