Answer:	This bag should hold around 2-3 flakes from a standard two string bale, but this varies greatly as not all hay bales are created equally. We cannot guarantee any amount in pounds that this bag will hold.

Answer:	It may be larger than you want, but these bags are incredibly well made & sturdy. My absolute only complaint about them is they are round - difficult to get square flakes of hay in them. For your use, I bet one would last forever.

Answer:	They are about half of the traditional hay net. For a pony it might not slow them down as much as a horse, but it did slow my mare's consumption down--especially after the initial temper tantrum when she couldn't get as much hay as she wanted in one bite.
