Answer:	No, not oily. It does have a scent. It should be sprayed on the skin, not the fur,if the dog has an itching problem, mine do beginning in Spring when they begin spending the days outside, in the Winter when staying inside, no itching. I also use the shampoo.

Answer:	From the use on our dog, i would say no, it wouldn't help it to dry and scab over. Our dog has an open wound on his front elbow, we use the blue butter to help as a healing agent, and to aid in keeping the tissue free from germs, as he needs to have it bandaged. For drying you might want to check out Banix, or Silver Spray.

Answer:	I would go ahead and use it! My mastiff is prone to nasty hot spots if he gets bitten by any bugs. I successfully treated one a few weeks back. Always keep clean and dry and use the hotspot spray religiously 2 to 3 times a day.

Answer:	Been a couple months since I used it. I just opened the container and I do not detect any discernible odor, certainly not of chlorine. My bottle says it is good until 07/2021. It really worked well to help heal a small wound that my pup kept licking, through several bandage reapplications.

The regular strength is 0.008% while the higher strength is 0.012%. The VF which my vet said was prescription strength is 0.01% but now they have a 'hot spot' and 'utility' label which I think might be 0.012% though I'm not positive. I like the higher concentration because it seems to get faster results.
