FNPT Discharge, Glass-filled polypropylene Housing and 25 in. power cord. The APCP-1700 model activates in approximately 2 in. of water and deactivates in approximately 1.5 in. of water. The APCP-1700 has a wide base design for needed stability. Intermittent Liquid Temperature is up to 120 degree F. Little Giant APCP-1700 is ideal for removing water from all types of pool covers. The 1700 GPH performance was obtained through a 1 in. I.D. tube, with friction losses neglected. Using a 3/4 in. garden hose 50 foot long reduces this performance to approximately 500 gallons per hour due to friction losses in the hose. If your area frequently has heavy rain falls, (1 in. - 2 in. per hour), it may be necessary to use 1 in. tubing. This should be available in most pool supply stores.

Answer:	I have not. However, I can tell you this: I use it to pump water through a 1-1/2 inch hose. It lifts the water over 6 feet with ease and with very high pressure. The lift is incredible. I use it daily for about 2-3 hours. It is powerful and relitively quiet. This is a very good submersible pump considering the price. I can not speak to reliability as I have only used it for about 2 months now. No issues this far.
Question:	HP 115V has a black & blue wire (12 ga) and a yellow wire (16 ga) coming from the pump. What are each wire for? Directions have different colors
Answer:	pumping from a river with 1 inch suction and 1 inch discharge it takes me about 90 - 100 minutes for 1000 gallon tank. This is with about 30-40 lift from the river bank and a 50 foot discharge hose. When I use it at home to water the lawn I have a 1 inch discharge down to a hose adaptor and then split it to 2 garden hoses and can run 1000 gallons in about 75 minutes. lawn and garden are all on level land and even with the water supply and pump. This pump should be able to move 10 - 13 gpm. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Auto shutoff for what purpose? Two possibilities would be: A timer would switch it ff and on at prearranged times. For a malfunction due to no water going through, you will ideally want to power it through a ground fault interrupt circuit so in the event the water source accidentally runs dry the pump will not burn out.

Answer:	It is a 1/2" thread, not 3/4".

Answer:	I have not seen one. The smaller the tube you hook up to the pump, the higher the pressure and the farther the water will be pumped.

Question:	What's the PSI or max head (pumping vertical height) of this pump
Answer:	Length of hose for a sump pump is not nearly as important as lift. you can have a long horizontal run with only minor flow loss. Friction loss (the loss from hose length) at these low pressures is very small. The elevation (aka lift) is the true limiting factor. (PSI means pounds per square inch, FYI, the water pressure coming into your house from the main is about 50-80psi, someone wondered what psi meant). Based on the chart, this pump moves about 30 gallons per minute (gpm). If you lift ten feet the flow drops to about 20 gpm; at 20 feet of lift it's flowing about 10 gpm. I have used this with vinegar to flush my tankless water heater and I used it with about 50/50 mix of simple green and water in a 5 gallon bucket as a parts washer for motorcycle parts and the pump is fine. I do flush it with clean water when I am done.
Question:	Does it have an automatic shut off
Answer:	The pump does not have an automatic shut off. I added a float switch because I wanted it to pump out a sink that had a slow-running clogged drain where I had the washing machine. When the sink was mostly pumped out the float switch turned off the pump. It worked great for a couple years until I got around to dealing with snaking the drain which didn't have an easy clean-out. This is a good pump, since the sink drain got taken care of, we've been using the pump to pump koi pond water over a 5' fence to our neighbor's garden using about 150' of garden hose. The pump runs continuously for 5+ hours without issues in this process.
Question:	Will clothes washer hoses fit on this pump
Answer:	The pump itself fits a garden hose nicely. You can buy the attachment package listed next to it for the converter piece. It only came to around $8.00. It also comes with a larger hose. I didn't need it for my spa but if you need to empty a washer or bigger pool it seems like it would come in handy. Hope that helps. Good luck. :-)
Question:	Can this be user to flush a tankless heater with vinigar
Answer:	I bought the pump for this very reason. I'm not sure if it is rated to handle vinegar, but at the price I figured I'd try it and see. I have two tankless water heaters, and I wanted a pump that could clean out both at the same time and this pump certainly does the job. I have a hose that runs from the pump, into a splitter. From the splitter I have two hoses going to each water heater (one hose per water heater). Even pushing water through two hoses, it still has a strong flow, with each hose pushing about the same flow as the water hose faucet outside your house opened wide open (guestimate). The splitter I have allows me to adjust the flow rate by closing off some valves if it is too strong. For just one water heater, i would think this pump is too strong (as it REALLY moves water), but I'm not a plumber so I couldn't say for sure. If I were to do it again, I think I would have purchased the 1/4 HP pump, or even the 1/5HP for cleaning out water heaters with vinegar. I cleaned out my water heater this week for the first time using this pump. I let it run for 2 hrs, and I noticed that it got warm (about the temp of a warm-to-hot bath). I'm not sure if that is normal, but thought I'd let you know.

1.Why does the pump barely pumping any water ?

We recommend placing the pump in a reasonable work area :

The shallowest from the horizontal plane is 10cm and the deepest is 50cm.



2.It makes loud noise while the pumping.

The reason may be that the fish feed is blocking the pump water port, and it needs to be removed and cleaned immediately to avoid burning the motor.

BTW, we recommend placing the pump in deepest work area.



3.Can the light be separated from the pump?

Answer:	It depends how big of a water fall you’re looking for. The tube isn’t very big. It will definitely pump it up there (tube is about 2 feet), but not a significant “Waterfall” amount of water comes out. Unless you’re filling an area with water that will then fall, I’d go bigger. I use this filter to move about 2 gallons of water, and it’s no rapids.

Question:	Can the pump pump watter and air
Answer:	The biggest energy demand with this appliance occurs when it brings a tank of cold water up to temperature. Overcoming all that thermal inertia is much harder work than simply replacing the small amount of energy that "leaks" out of the the appliance over time. If your jar pot is sized appropriately for your usage leave it on. If you have too large a unit (is this possible? ; ) or too small a unit, and are concerned about energy consumption, you may want to purchase something more appropriate to your demands. If you are going on a long vacation, you may want to unplug it, but I suggest that you also empty the pot and leave the lid open or off to prevent development of bad tastes, mold, etc.,. We have had our current pot in continuous operation since 2013. It is used heavily, and is never unplugged. About two weeks ago I had to replace the lid seal (readily available from Zo) which took all of five minutes. That is the only maintenance we have needed in approximately 52,560 hours of uninterrupted operation. Not too shabby. Feel free to leave it up and running. No one should have to wait for coffee.

Answer:	Yes, it's BPA free. My husband bought this and is very conscientious when it comes to food safety, lead, aluminum, BPA in plastics, etc. We absolutely LOVE this hot water dispenser! We keep it on our counter, plugged in, and use it every day for 1 cup coffee, tea, oatmeal, etc. IMPORTANT! We only use Reverse Osmosis water in it. Tap water has a lot of mineral deposits which will build up and degrade the product. Our first one lasted over 15 years! Hope this helps!

Answer:	The brochure doesn't say, but on the bottom of the heater is the German language, "nicht in wasser eintauchen........etc." Meaning do not immerse in water etc.
