Answer:	I change mine every month. This prevents algae from forming in the tank and help keep your fish happy. But make sure you either use water conditioning drops or let the water you will be using to fill the tank sit for at least 48 hours. I keep three 1 gallon containers on the side so I can change my tank water every month. (Also, did you know that the water from your fish tank is great for your house/garden plants.) Answer:	Not exactly. I tried this one on mine and although it fit, I had to really squeeze it in. I think I kind of left a dent on my filters, but it works! This is also worth it considering Top Fin’s prices are more expensive for sure.
Question:	What direction should the "cloth" side of the filter face? (Outside or Inside
Answer:	The plastic goes toward the tank. Water flows through the cloth side, and that is where poop and other solid material should get lodged. The water then flows through the cloth to the activated carbon. The water should always be filtered before it gets to the activated carbon, as the carbon removes gases and not solid material. The water then flows through the slots in the plastic side back into the tank. If you turn it the other way around, water flows through the plastic part directly to the activated carbon, where the carbon will quickly stop working because it would get clogged with poop. The plastic is not designed to be part of the filter, just to return water to the tank. Again, you want poop and other solid material stuck in the cloth side before the water gets to the activated carbon inside. Plastic side goes to tank, cloth side is ALWAYS IN ALL FILTERS the first thing the "dirty" water is supposed to touch.

Answer:	Hi, I use the Medium size whisper filter cartridges...the difference between the 26164 & ATS26164 could be the fact that one is a pre-assembled cartridge and the other is not. I buy the 12 pack of unassembled filters which are quite a bit cheaper and are the identical product. It comes with the white filters, one plastic insert, and small charcoal bags that take a few minutes to assemble. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I bought these about a month ago for my top fin 10 filter. The cartridge in my top fin 10 is angled inward at the bottom whereas this filter cartridge is more of a rectangular shape. Due to the shape it does not fit the top fin 10 slot. However I kept my old cartridge frame and I'm using this product, everything works great.

Answer:	Changing the cartridge will have no impact on the biological cycle as the beneficial bacteria is on the biogrid as well as items in the tank. All you need to do is remove the old cartridge, rinse the new one to remove any excess charcoal dust and place it in the holder. We do not recommend doing anything more than possibly rinse in aquarium water for the cartridge holder as that would decrease the beneficial bacteria in the system. Some people scrub it each month in the sink which is absolutely not the right thing to do

Answer:	Since I have a 75 gallon tank I always buy the 12 pack. They don't spoil so even if your tank is smaller go with the cheapest.

Answer:	No!!!! Using PVC with compressed air is basically creating a bomb.

Answer:	It comes in a 100 foot coil. If you need more you can get it at 50 foot coils through Rapid Air. cut it at what ever length you need.
