| Answer: | I soaked mine in hot/boiling water. I put them in a bowl and dumped the water over them and let them soak until it was cool. I took the tops of while soaking them. I then let them sit until they were dry. They worked perfect after that. Some of the tighter tubing was hard to get over there top. I let the tubing ends sit in hot water from the tap until they were soft then stretched them over. Once the tubing is on it's a very tight fit and I have never been able to get the tubing off unless I literally cut it at the very base of the top. These have actually been the best air stones that I've used and I've tried the flat ones and the long ones and none of them work as well as these. I think the important thing is that you have a pump that's strong enough to push the bubbles through to keep them unplugged. I used my 150 air pump in the beginning to make sure all the air holes were open. Then I moved them to my 50 air pump. I also stuck these in a bucket for a day. Adding fresh water then dumped it out and repeating before sticking them into my pond. I wasn't sure if there were any chemicals it floating parts coming out of the holes. Better safe than sorry. |

Before first use, please soaked it for 2 hours and the hose connected to the air pump can be repeatedly plugged and unplugged more than 4 times, which can help the air bubbles to be more uniform.
When the water depth exceeds 1.3 feet (40 cm), you may need an air pump with higher power wattage.
Cleaning tips: we suggest to clean the disc once a month, of course you can clean it more often. You need to clean algae and other impurities on the disc to prevent holes from being blocked.
