Answer:	The bottom of the heater gets hot however it does not sit fully flat due to the power cable entering thru the bottom.If your crock does not have water in it and the temp goes below 35 degress it will remain on so keep that in consideration.It gets hot enough that it does melt ice. However depending on the width and depth of your crock it may not unfreeze it now or keep it totally unfrozen. I have it at the edge of my pond which is about 6 inches deep and right now with the below zero weather we have been having it is keeping a hole about 1 foot in diameter. Warmer temps in the 20's or so it keeps a larger area unfrozen.

Question:	Would this heater be ok for a 10 gallon tank
Answer:	The part that reads temperature is pressed up against the tank glass. Which means in actuality it is reading the tank temperature. It’s not unusual to have different thermometers be a degree or two off. I am not an expert but I would rate this thermometer is the most accurate that I’ve ever owned

Answer:	Flashing is warning you that the current temperature is higher than the highest temp you set or lower than the lowest te, you set. if you want it to stop flashing, just set the left small number greater than the current temp and the right small number less than the current temp. Here is the step: first short press the "fish" the left small number will flash, then press "up" to make it greater than the current temp, then short press "fish", the right small number will flash, then press "down" to make it less than the current temp. Done.
Question:	Which heater is best for a 40 gallon tank
Answer:	Dear friend, Both. It is aquarium thermometer , when you use it to monitor fish tank temperature, pls stick it on the outside of the tank, make the sensor beneathe the water level. Question:	What wattage should i buy for a old corner bath tub im using as a duck pond? It's 19in deep. I don't know how many gallons. I live in a zone
Answer:	Each of the fins attaches to the pole with a set-screw and then when all the fins are attached it sits on the sealed bearing, which makes all the fins spin together, it is very well made and moves easily in the wind, but needs to be in a slightly windy area. Hope this helps.
Question:	Can i use this in zone seven with a 50 gallon outdoor plasic gold fish pond? Should i keep my pump working to for circulation? Thanks
Answer:	Make sure the spinner is level. If you have used a lubricant in the past, dirt and grime may have built up. I suggest to take the spinner apart and clean out the ball bearings with something like WD-40 and leave it at that.
Question:	I have a very small outdoor goldfish pond/small fountain. Only about 15 gallons and only about 13" deep. Will this work and be safe for the fish
Answer:	It is top heavy for stand wobbles in high wind. The copper is terrible it spots in rain and has to be cleaned if you want the shine. I am very disappointed for the price. I should not have any worries at this price.

Answer:	My pond has 2,500 gallons and I use the heater in the winter to increase the temperature of the water to create an open hole in the ice when there are freezing temperatures. I live in Maryland and our winters can be mild to quite cold for short periods of time. I think that it would overheat your pond unless you had it on a timer for short periods of time.

Answer:	basically, this is a horse water heater used in the wintertime to keep the water not frozen for the horses...do you really think they will make something that would shock the horses when trying to drink???????I have no idea what temp it is when on ...I use it to keep my pond warm for the fish and it does a great job..this is the second one I bought the first one worked for 3-4 years? it just got so very rusty being in the water every winter, so the wire gave out eventually...and no IT WOULD NOT SHOCK YOU.....

Question:	Any idea what code e3 is
Answer:	Maybe I don’t understand, but our temps have dropped to 14 degrees and it’s still pumping. To me the only way the tubes can freeze is if water is getting inside the lines I suppose if you turn off the pump and the water went in the lines it could then freeze. Chech the check valves are working.
Question:	Can it be used for an outdoor pond
Answer:	Any added oxygen is beneficial to any body of water. I have customers using this in 300 plastic tub ponds as well as others in 20,000+ ponds. It comes down to what you are using it for. Aeration, winter Ice control, aesthetics, etc. If you have dead areas in your pond with no circulation, then this aeration is perfect. If you have a stagnant body of water that is 1/4 acre, and think this aerator will keep the pond alive, then you will be very upset.
Question:	is this weather resistant? rain....cold weather etc
Answer:	As others have suggested here, you'll need to keep it covered with anything that will protect the air pump from the elements. It's advisable keep it from direct contact with the ground as well. There are a variety of ways to do this, including decorative faux rock covers with air vents designed specifically to cover air pumps.
Question:	Is this over kill for a 75 gallon discus tank. i like to keep them at 86. the reason i ask is because i have 2 300’s it’s not working thanks
Answer:	According to the instruction book it comes with two 25' lengths of tubing. My husband put this in, so I have to refer to the booklet. It seems the stones are about 4" across. Mine are buried in rock now so can't see them. Maybe someone else can be more specific.

Answer:	This item is only 100 watts and only 'turns on' when temperatures are around 32 degrees. Its operating cost would be minimal.

Question:	How do you turn it on
Answer:	Although I have not measured it, I'd guess it is at least 10 feet. Very long, but it tends to "remember" the coil shape. I put rocks on the cord to keep it from pulling the unit towards shore. I would highly recommend this product for keeping a hole in the ice over the winter. I've bought 2 in the last 7 years and the only reason for the second one was that I dropped the first one and cracked it, rendering it useless. I've also discovered that when the temps get close to or fall below zero, placing a black plastic tarp over the unit will help keep it from freezing up. I have seen it melt and maintain a hole through 6-9 inches of ice. Another thing to remember that once the ice forms and you place it, future snow falls will encase the cord in ice and you will not be able to move it. Allow additional cord so it cal maintain contact with the water.
Question:	Is it 120 watts or 12 watts? what does "12 watts of heating power" mean
Answer:	The unit is a de-icer. Is your pond cover with ice? This is my second unit, the first one lasted 10 years with no problems. I have a Koi pond that is 3,000 gallons and 4 foot deep in the center and the pond with this cold weather is covered with ice 12 inches thick. If your pond is ice covered they suggest you drill a hole thru the ice and place the unit over the hole, it will eventually melt the ice surrounding it, just as mine did. My unit keeps a hole in the 12 inch ice as big as the entire unit. Again this is not a pond heater, it is used to keep an open hole in the ice so the gases that are harmful to the fish can escape. The unit doesn't make any noise and it only gets warm on the bottom when the thermostat calls for heat.

One caution though, if you have Koi, you still need to run a aerator, I learned the this lesson the hard way.

Question:	What is the average monthly cost to run this heater? I have heard that 1,500 watt heaters can cost up to 75$ a month to run
Answer:	How much of an area it will keep open depends on the size of the pond and the outside temperature. It's purpose is to keep a hole in the surface, for gas exchange. I've used it in a very large pond and found it kept a sizable area open though, unless extremely cold temps last for days.
Question:	Our pond is only 55 gal. Is this heater ok to use? Or do you know a model that would work

Question:	How long is the power cord
Answer:	No. I have had customers try this. It does not work. Boil some water on the stove and pour onto the ice until you melt a hole to float the heater in.

🐳How to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius？

You only need to press and hold the temperature adjustment button on the LED thermostat to easily convert between Fahrenheit and Celsius. Answer:	Their specs say it can be used in a 120 gallon pond. I'd say it would depend on the circulation and how insulated the pond is. Also, the electronics would need to be in a weatherproof housing.
Question:	What happens if the power goes out and comes back on? Does it reset to 82F
Answer:	I read the instructions and features again and it does not mention anything about the temp we set being memorized. It just says it saves the temp when its set and that if the water reaches above 94 degrees it automatically goes back to 82. So I would say yes it goes back to 82 degrees. Which isnt too bad for my turtles but not sure about fish if someone isnt home to reset it again. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Firstly,you need to set the temperature.If you set at 78,if the water in the tank is lower than the setting,the heater will be heated, the red light is on. After heating,the water in the tank up to the temperature of the setting,the heater won’t heat up, the red light is off. So don't worry about the light shock. Answer:	I don't see any issue of mounting this unit in a circular shaped tank. One major issue is to make sure that the unit is totally submerged preventing it from burning out. There is a line on it stating it must be below water. Do this... and it will last.
