Answer:	The polisher uses an Aqueon Large Cartridge which should be replaced monthly. In the canister itself most of the media does not get replaced. The bottom tray is biological (bio balls and ceramic pieces) which unless there is physical damage do not get replaced. The top tray is a course media sponge which should be rinsed out and put back in and the middle is the charcoal which does need to be replaced no less than once a quarter. All of these replacement items are available from Aqueon. Answer:	User is required to manually calibrate the heater in the following 2 failures: 1,The heating rod is completely immersed in water, but the display shows ‘E1' error code. 2, The heating rod is out of water, however, E1 error code don’t display. Calibrate the device according to the following steps: Step 1, Take the heating rod out of the water and clean the display surface area of the heating rod. Step 2, Put the heating rod on the desk ( not in the water), Wetting the display part of the heater. Power on the heating rod. Within 1 second after the heater controller display shows 8.88, press and hold the touch button until the controller display shows 'FC' and flashes 3 times and then stops flashing. Answer:	I haven’t had that issue...yet. It’s only been 2 weeks since I’ve had my unit and so far it’s temp reading is similar to a manual thermometer I have at the bottom of the fish tank, within a few degrees...a small 3.5 gal Betta tank. How long have you had your unit?
Question:	How do I turn the temp down to reach my desired temp
Answer:	For example: current water temperature is 60F, the target temperature set in last time is 80F, you want to set the new target temperature to 70F, the steps are following: A, Long-press the power button in heater controller to unlock. The number flashing on the LED screen is 80F (target temperature set last time) B, short-press the power button 20 times, the number on LED screen will increase from 80F to 93F, and then go back to 64F, and finally increase to70F. Short-press one time, temperature increase 1F. C, Wait for 3 seconds ( no operation), the setting is active. New target temperature is 70F now.

Answer:	The process of “cycling” does not begin until fish or a culture of nitrifying bacteria are added to an aquarium, but the longer you wait to add the first fish after initially setting up your tank, the better. Most aquarium experts recommend waiting at least 48 to 72 hours. Always check temperature and test for pH and ammonia first, as many municipalities add chloramine to tap water and a single dose of water conditioner does not always fully neutralize the ammonia.

Answer:	Firstly,you need to set the temperature.If you set at 78,if the water in the tank is lower than the setting,the heater will be heated, the red light is on. After heating,the water in the tank up to the temperature of the setting,the heater won’t heat up, the red light is off. So don't worry about the light shock. Answer:	I don't see any issue of mounting this unit in a circular shaped tank. One major issue is to make sure that the unit is totally submerged preventing it from burning out. There is a line on it stating it must be below water. Do this... and it will last.
