Answer:	The process of “cycling” does not begin until fish or a culture of nitrifying bacteria are added to an aquarium, but the longer you wait to add the first fish after initially setting up your tank, the better. Most aquarium experts recommend waiting at least 48 to 72 hours. Always check temperature and test for pH and ammonia first, as many municipalities add chloramine to tap water and a single dose of water conditioner does not always fully neutralize the ammonia.

Answer:	It will "work", but it may not bring the temp up more than 5 degrees or so. I have mine in a 1 gallon bowl with a bubbler to move the water around a little and it went from about 68F room temp to a steady and even 78F, perfect for a betta.

Answer:	Possibly if your pond is less than 75 gallons...there are heaters out specifically made for ponds and water tanks.

Answer:	It's probably too big. For 20 gallons of water, a 50-watt would be more appropriate. This is a 200-watt. Mine is in about 80 gallons of water in a very cold room.

Answer:	Yes - it may take a little longer to bring tank up to temp than the suggested 300 watt - if the price difference between a 200 watt and 300 watt is large enough go for the 200 but keep in mind that when you run something longer it will wear out faster so take wear and tear into account when considering the price difference. Also a "strong" suggestion is to invest in a temp controller - you can order one from amazon or ebay for around $20 - I have owned inexpensive heaters and expensive ones and none of them keep very accurate water temps. Answer:	The polisher uses an Aqueon Large Cartridge which should be replaced monthly. In the canister itself most of the media does not get replaced. The bottom tray is biological (bio balls and ceramic pieces) which unless there is physical damage do not get replaced. The top tray is a course media sponge which should be rinsed out and put back in and the middle is the charcoal which does need to be replaced no less than once a quarter. All of these replacement items are available from Aqueon. Question:	I have the fluval flex 32.5 gallon tank. which heater should i get? thank you
Answer:	Where do you live? I live in FL where the average temp of my fish room is 75. I have M200 (200W rated for a 65 gallon tank) on my 75 gallon tanks. If you live in Maine, the average temp is probably 60-65 of your fish room. you will need the M300 ( 300W rated for 80 gallons) or maybe 2 of them to heat the same 75 gallon tank. with that said, I think you will be find with the M100 or M50 will be fine for your 32 gallon tank. just make sure they will fit. when you set it up, put the heater in the tank, let it sit for a day or at least a few hours before you turn it on.. see what temp the tank is, turn the heater on the lowest setting and slowly turn it up to the match the tank temp. let it sit there for a hour or so, then set it to what ever temp you want. Don't trust the dial that states what the temp is, it may be off by 1 or 2 degrees. Be sure to monitor the temp for a few days to make any adjustments. Heaters will not change the temp of the tank instantly, it may take a few hours.
Question:	How long does it take to heat a 15 gallon tank
Answer:	The instructions say: "Wait 30 minutes before connecting to the electrical outlet. This allows the heater to adjust to the aquarium water temperature. Note that it may take up to 12 hours for the eater to attain the water temperature you have selected." That being said, my experience is that it is quite a bit faster than that. Of course, that depends on what temperature the water started at! (i.e., how cold is your room). Please note that thre 50 watt model is rated for 15 gallon MAX. That means if you want wiggle room, you might consider the 100 watt version. Again, however, my experience is that the 50 watt was adequate for my 15gallon. But my house is not cold.
Question:	Can it go compleatly under water
Answer:	Yes it can, "Cord and all" (but not the plug) according to the Fluval representitive I spoke to at Fluval customer service. I've had mine completely submerged ever since and havnt had any problems. Just remember not to keep it on if you have to empty tank water behond the bottom line.
