Fish added to tanks containing turtles, however, will most likely be eaten unless they can blend into the decor. Additionally, turtles are extremely dirty animals, and fish may not do well, health-wise, in a turtle tank.

Answer:	This is a GREAT question, Eduardo V.! I am so glad you asked, because it is all about the proper environment and care for the turtle! First, a turtle requires a minimum of 10 gallons of water for every inch of shell diameter. So a 5 inch turtle, for example, requires a tank with 50 gallons of water in it. Second, they require a partial water change of at least 25% (1/4) once a week. Third, they require a lot of filtration. The tank and filter pictured here, for example, is suitable for hatchling turtles up to about 2." in size. A hatchling is the diameter of a quarter to give you an idea. It's a great starter tank for baby turtles, and if you are diligent about care, can work for about a year to a year and a half. Adult turtles of 5" or more should be housed in tanks of 75 gallons or larger, with their water filtered by large canister filters. Algae accumulates due to an over abundance of waste. This can also be due to the diet that that is being fed. Turtles have nutritional needs, just like any other animal, and lettuce, hamburger, goldfish, etc., are not included in those needs. Step 1: Clean

Begin by cleaning out your tank with tap water (do not use soap or chemicals on aquarium or plants).

Step 2: Rinse

Question:	Could this work as a ant farm
Answer:	The inlet is actually threaded allowing you to use any of the five nozzles included with the pump.
Question:	How is it packegaed so i wont think it will crack
Answer:	It isn't rated in horsepower but it is rated at 2.3 amps @ 120 volts ac., or it is listed as 276 watts. One horsepower is usually said to be 746 watts so you can do the math from there. :) However, the motor certainly does not look anything like the normal 1/3 hp electric motors I'm accustomed to seeing but it does put out a surprising volume of water at 8 to 10 feet of lift. It is actually stronger than I need for my intended purpose of circulating water through a 3 tier birdbath at a max height of about 5 feet. I am having to use an inline diverter to throttle it back.
Question:	where can i get a lid that will fit this tank
Answer:	buy tubing to fit the various fittings supplied.
Question:	what is this tank dimensions
Answer:	pretty sure mine is 3/4 npt

Question:	Do you have to use a plant a fully grown plant? Or can you plant/grow seeds and then put the growing roots in the holes
Answer:	My son use a fully grown plant . He bought small Peace Lily then he took all soil off and washed the roots before put the root in the hole.
Question:	Is the fish supposed to eat the roots
Answer:	No but... they eat the build up on the roots doesn't hurt the plant or fish BUT...does say need to feed protein pellets as well. Hardest part for me was getting the roots through the holes.
Question:	what plants or herbs can be grown
Answer:	if you look up aquaponics you will find more information about what types of plants can be grown. We are growing herbs and a bamboo stem. In order for the plan or herbs to be grown they have to be already growing with roots so the roots can be immersed in the water
Question:	could i keep a glass catfish in this
Answer:	No. Ghost/glass catfish are schooling fish and need to be kept in groups of six or more to avoid stress death. You'll need to look for a 30+ gallon to humanely care for them. A mere half gallon like this isn't suitable for ANY fish, let alone a schooling species.
