Question:	Is this like a treat or does it take awhile to chew
Answer:	Howdy, thanks for your question about our Sancho & Lola’s soft elk jerky for Dogs. It’s definitely a treat. As Someone else mentioned, you can pinch pieces off for smaller dogs or to use as training treats for larger dogs. If you would like a longer lasting chew, check out our beef tendons or bully sticks. If your dog has allergies to beef, try our twisted turkey tendons. These are hypoallergenic just like the elk but will last slightly longer.
Question:	Do you refrigerate them
Answer:	Hello, thanks for your question about our Sancho & Lola's Chicken Breast Jerky. If you use within 2-3 weeks there is no need for refrigeration. If you buy the 24oz value pack and you only have one dog, you may want to refrigerate one of the bags. They do not have commercial preservatives that enable them to stay shelf stable for a year like most mass marketed jerkys, but we do add a tad of vegetable glycerine which should help prevent mold as long as you store them in a room that is not too humid. We do not recommend would not leaving in car or hot garage.
Question:	How long is the shelf life? I am getting this for a Christmas present
Answer:	Hi thanks for asking your question about Sancho & Lola's soft elk jerky. As long as you store in a cool area (below 80 degrees), they will stay fresh for a year or more unopened. Once the pouch is opened, we recommend serving it within 2-3 weeks. The jerky sticks do not contain any artificial preservatives so refrigerate or freeze if you open and do not use them within 2 weeks and you live in a hot, humid area.

Question:	What color is the marrow inside your bone? One of ours had a brownish, radish marrow and the next had white. Which color is yours? I am worried one
Answer:	Got the antler for my Dog for Christmas. The marrow was the reddish brown you are talking about. “Doc” had it chewed down to about 4 inches in about 6 weeks. No ill effects. I may be wrong but I believe that the ones that are the reddish brown color are fresher newer antlers and the white ones are older. They last longer because they are more dried out and harder. Hope the next time I order one I get a white marrow one.
Question:	How are these removed from the elk
Answer:	I really don't know. They state that they are 100% shed so I assume that they are "harvested" when the elk shed their horns which they do annually, I believe.

Question:	What's the shortest time (# of hours) your active chewer took to completely remove all the marrow from an Almost-Large Split Elk Antler
Answer:	Hi Leo, thanks for asking. It could be an hour and it could be months. It really depends on how aggressive a chewer your dog is. Because the marrow is exposed, dogs can make quick work of a split. If you have a heavy chewer, I always recommend the split antler in the beginning to show your dog the tasty center. Once he understands that, I move to whole antlers. I offer different sizes of split antlers (and whole) depending on your dog. Question:	I have a mix yorkie and shihtzu weighing about 9-10lb. Which elk antler do you recommend
Answer:	Before seeing my vet last week, I would have recommended the split antlers. My dog loved them. However, the vet said that they have had several dogs I who have chewed these and wound up with "foreign bodies" in their digestive system and have required surgery so we had to take them away from our dog. Our dog was fine and had never had a problem, but we decided not to take a chance.
Question:	month old Silver Lab, abt 45-50 lbs now, growing quickly, loves chewing esp. when bored, trainer rec. antlers. Recommendation of size/product
Answer:	Hi Christy, I would recommend our (JimHodgesDogTraining) Large Singles or Large 2-Pack Elk Antlers. The next question would be split or whole? If I knew my dog was a chewer, I would order the whole (more bang for your dollar and a little safer). If not, I may recommend the split. The split exposes the marrow so a dog understands what is in the middle. Once they know what is inside, I would go back to the whole ones. Question:	Will the 6” odorless Thins work for a senior pug? Loves to chew but not strong... if it’s crunchy/sharp her mouth can get cuts
Answer:	I have the regular sticks, not thin, and they are not crunchy and do not get sharp edges. My dogs chew on them and the edges get quite soft and gooey. I would t hesitate giving the regular 6 inch bullies to a senior. The thins may be brittle. And they still Have odor. But not horrible
Question:	These sticks look dark in color, do they stain carpet etc.? What size would be best for a 9 weeks old large breed puppy
Answer:	Don't know if they would stain carpet. I have dark wood flooring. Have not noticed staining in light beige dog bed. As for size, I have a toy poodle. Don't have experience of large breed puppy. Sorry can't be more helpful.

Answer:	Hi Jakline, it depends on how young he/she is. It varies from breed to breed. If your baby has strong teeth that can chew on bones, they should be fine. For most breeds this happens around 10-12 weeks. Then at this point, it is great because puppies love to chew and this will definitely keep him busy.

Answer:	Hello, our USA crunchy bully sticks for dogs are baked at a slightly higher temperature. They are a high-protein single ingredient "treat", rather than a chew. Our traditional ones are a bit more solid on the ends. Customers who have dogs with GI issues report report their dogs can tolerate the crunchy bully sticks a lot more. This is due to them having less moisture. Moisture makes them chewy, but it also is what can cause them to have a pungent smell. If you are sensitive to smells, you would prefer the crunchy bully sticks over the traditional ones.

Answer:	The ones I got were deer but they were the small ones.

Answer:	I bought the larger one for my 75# pit/boxer mix and it was appropriate for him so I would suggest getting one of the smaller ones for your chihuahua. Mine was probably 3/4 to 1" at the widest end.

Answer:	Probably the small to medium ones. That's what I started out with, with my Rottweiler. Don't get the flat ones, they won't last long, get the whole antler.

Answer:	They are elk antlers, not deer. They are stronger than deer antlers. My dog loves them. She's an American Bully and chews through anything, but these actually last a few weeks. They're awesome and great for the dogs teeth!

Answer:	My dogs are 50 and 70 lbs. and I give them the 6" bully stick. I started buying the ones from Downtown Pet Supply because they seem to be thicker overall and come in a 30 pack. The ones that are super thick go to my 50 lb. pup and the regular thickness goes to my 70 lb. dog. They last longer because they're thicker and my dogs are both crazy about them. It also helps keep my pup out of trouble :)

Answer:	They do not. They slowly soften down as the dog chews on them. They do a great job of cleaning the dogs teeth. I would recommend thicker ones for large dogs, but for smaller dogs these are perfect. I have two small dogs and they take about 30-45 minutes to eat one of these. They love them. I like these because they do not smell.
