Answer:	Looks like the Small gelcaps are about 15% smaller. But at 16lbs your dog might need two small gelcaps per day to get enough of the ingredients to work effectively. There are also snip caps where you squeeze the liquid dosage onto food. Check dosage with your doctor though. Our 31 lb dog gets two medium/large gelcaps a day even though she is right at the one gelcap/two gelcap weight cut off. This product has prolonged our dog's functional eyesight despite PRA in our experience. We hide the gelcap in cream cheese and it slides down easily.

I’m very worried about recalls in the prescription that that foods right now. Science diet just had another one with Hills. Really check out this brand before feeding it to your dog.
