Answer:	It does seem a bit difficult but you just have to give it a good tug. Maybe have someone hold one side and then pull apart at the indentations on the side. By the way, something I learned when you want to close it back up, there is a metal thing right in the middle where the two halves split apart that you need to push in to collapse it. Question:	Can you feed your cat this for a long time
Answer:	I feed this to the my five cats and my brother's cat (six total). They've been eating it for years. We had to switch to this food because it is very low in fat and the higher fat foods caused two of my cats to get pancreatitis and one to get liver failure! Both kitties have recovered, although the liver failure kitty had to have a feeding tube for a while. His vet approved this food. We haven't had any problems since switching!

Answer:	I also don't know about hedgehogs, but this food caused one of my cats to develop urinary crystals and nearly become blocked, which might mean that it's a bit on the alkaline side. (With very acid pH, cats don't develop crystals). I don't know if it could cause any such problems in hedgehogs. A bag of this food cost me about $500 in vet bills. Good luck.

Answer:	I do several things. Sometimes I just give them a flake as a treat but mostly I crunch them up sometimes to small flakes or almost a powder and sprinkle it on topic their food. They like just a little on top of food

So occasionally I put fish flakes into her wet food (mix it in), and she devours all of it.

Answer:	the bag and the large container only have the address of the seller....as washington state. no reference as to where the flakes actually come from. i'm sorry i didn't ask this question.

Answer:	I contacted the company about if there was added Taurine and Sodium. This is what they wrote: Taurine comes naturally in the Bonito Flakes. According to our testing results there is 55mg of Sodium per ounce. We do not add any Sodium, it is what occurs naturally in the fish." I actually bought then looked at the Sodium content of the Sodium in the humane grade Bonita Flakes that you can also buy on Amazon, there's is 15mg per ounce. These flakes come in a red bag with Chinese lettering and are sold at half the price of these flakes. But, my cats prefer these Cat-Man-Doo flakes! So I buy a bag of each and mix it, they eat it all that way. Hope this helped.

Answer:	No there is no skin, just the dried salmon meat. The cubes are small enough that they don't have to be broken up and crumbs are limited. A previous brand I used was always a quarter crumbs and this product isn't.

I wouldn't feed this to my cat either since it most likely has a percentage of freeze dried spoiled fish because I doubt they throw it out. They probably even cut it with local caught fish waste. Answer:	I talked to a Natural Balance Rep in a Petco store last year and she stated that Natural Balance products are make in the USA although some ingredients are imported from other counties. I remember specifically that she said they use rabbits from Italy, but can't remember where other ingredients come from.
