Answer:	Thank you for your question, the main factor that makes them different looking from the pig ears is that pig is pork and the cow ears are beef- they are two totally different types of meat. The ears are dried, cleaned and baked. There is no chemical treatment that happens to influence color or texture.

I weighed the remaining seven ears in the bag I got and got, in ounces, 2.1, 1.9, 2.4, 1.6, 2, 2, 1.7 which comes to 13.7 ounces for seven ears which averages out to 1.95 ounces or two ounces, times 12 ears (full bag) which is 23.5 (24) ounces. Twelve ears for $14 = $1.16 an ear.

Answer:	Hi, I ordered these cow ears and I suppose they are a great product. I only took 2 pieces out of the bag and decided they are not for my dogs. Other pet owners may be fine with them but unless you are watching your pet chew them, it may not be safe. My yorkie got a piece lodged halfway down his throat and after nearly drowning him with water trying to make the piece to come up or go down, I never gave it to them again. If your dog chews on it long enough, they will be able to bite off a piece that may not be small enough for them to swallow. They are dogs after all. I still have the bag but one scare is enough. They are made in Brazil. They are distributed from Lakewood, New Jersey. I wish you luck and safety for your pet. They are OK but I waould suggest only under supervision.
